Let’s get this straight. Now we’re led to believe Tom Brady never really wanted Donald Trump to make America great again. The media misrepresented the former quarterback’s relationship with the former president, Brady says, and please ignore the old photo of a MAGA hat in his locker.
Brady said in a Variety magazine interview that, unlike former President Trump, his personality isn’t one to insult people. His first contact with Trump was at the age of 26 at a private golf course, and he thought it was the “coolest thing in the world.”
Fake news portrayed Brady as a Trump supporter after the MAGA hat siting in the Patriots’ locker room in 2015, but now he says that was all overplayed. He's a never Trumper!:
“I think they just mischaracterized a lot. And my personality isn’t ever one to insult anybody. I have plenty of my own flaws. I’m not here to point out anyone else’s flaws. There are things that I agree with. There are things that I don’t. There are things I agree with my wife about. There are things that I don’t. I love her to death, but we don’t always see eye to eye. I don’t see eye to eye with anyone. And I’m not responsible for what other people say. I’m really responsible for what I say. So if people want to say things that I said or that I’m about, that’s up to them, and I’m not going to respond to all those things all the time either.”
Brady is obviously a chameleon whose loyalties have shifted with time, thanks to help from media pressure. The media poisoned the former president throughout his four years in office and falsely insists he caused the Jan. 6, 2021 capitol riot. It just doesn’t look good for a hip former athlete to be into Trump.
In 2015, Brady called his MAGA hat “sort of” an endorsement for Trump’s presidential candidacy. In 2016, Brady said Trump had “been a friend of mine.” In that same time frame, they’d had some phone conversations. And there's that photo of them buddying up together, too, posted above.
Brady once said, “I always try to keep it in context because for 16 years you know someone before maybe he was in the position that he was in. He’s been very supportive of me for a long time. It’s just a friendship. I have a lot of friends. I call a lot of people [on the phone].”
Brady is trying to re-write history now and also canceling his friendship with Trump. He’s just going with the flow of the anti-Trump media, trying to be politically correct and virtue signal.
After the Tampa Bay Bucs won the 2021 Super Bowl, they visited President Joe Biden at the White House. Brady insulted those, who like Trump, questioned the integrity of the 2020 election. “I think 40 percent of the people still don’t think we won,” Brady said in an effort to appear as PC as possible.
All the recent posturing by Brady makes him fully fashionable to the woke, cancel culture crowd. It just doesn’t reshape history or hide his flip-flopping.
