Kellyanne Conway Confronts The View, Calls Out Sell-Out Conservative

May 24th, 2022 4:42 PM

During a contentious appearance on ABC’s The View on Tuesday, former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway frazzled the cast in the way only she can. There to promote her new book, Here’s the Deal, Conway confronted the liberals with President Biden’s failures and blasted the liberal media for targeting her family. She also called out sell-out conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin for abandoning conservative principles for her selfish interests.

Early in the interview, while talking about the controversy the liberal media stirred up with her family, Conway called out the creepy ones who slithered into her daughter’s direct messages. “What I don't appreciate and will never forgive or forget are a bunch of adults direct messaging from my 15-year-old daughter without even trying to reach easy-to-reach parents, it's outrageous,” she noted.

Conway called out doxxer and generally scummy “journalist” Taylor Lorenz:

And it was certainly started with this Peter Pan, Taylor Lorenz at The New York Times. But she wasn't alone. I’ve seen the direct messages. People just contacting my daughter. I would never contact your children. By the way, are we supposed to feel better if it was a 35-year-old man contacting Claudia at 1:00 a.m. and promising her fame, fortune, attention?

Surprisingly, Joy Behar agreed with her that it was “terrible.”

A bit further into the first segment and after getting peppered with questions about former President Trump and the election, of which Conway admits he lost, she confronted The View with the fact “In less time than it takes to have a baby, they’ve [the Biden administration] screwed up the country.”

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg let loose a mocking cackle to which Conway cited an ABC poll about President Biden’s poor approval and performance. Goldberg shot back with a comment that the executives at her network likely won’t be amused with. “I'm not a big poll person because polls can be manipulated,” she scoffed.

The sparks really flew when Griffin tried to portray herself as a defender of America and democracy citing her exit from the administration after the 2020 election. “I left three months before you did, for my children. I have four of them. And I said less drama, more mama,” Conway shot back. “I think you stayed a whole month after the election that you were having a problem with.”

Griffin rudely interrupted Conway to proclaim she supposedly stayed in order “to help my junior staff get jobs.” She then took a cheap shot at Conway by suggesting she took an oath to support Trump and not the Constitution.

Building off that false premise, Griffin tried to suggest Conway was for the Capitol Riot but Conway had receipts showing her opposition. Conway then called out Griffin’s self-serving actions of abandoning conservative principles in an attempt to be a media staple for bashing Republicans:

Alyssa, if you're saying that somehow you think we're supposed to think that you've seen the light and not just see your name in lights, that's not fair.

“That’s such a cheap shot,” Griffin whined at the truth.

That wasn’t the only fiery exchange. Twice in less than two minutes, and despite Conway still answering questions from the cast, Goldberg threatened to end the interview “if you don't stop talking” (click “expand”):

GOLDBERG: So, what we're going to go right now is we're going to move on because we’re –

CONWAY: I’m going to try to answer the question.

GOLDBERG: Do me a favor, because we don't have as much time as we did. Answer, answer -- Do this. I’m sorry Kellyanne, don’t make – Go on. Joy, do your thing.

CONWAY: I was on ABC on January 6 telling people to get the hell out of the Capitol.

[Crosstalk]

GOLDBERG: This is unfortunate but we’re going to go if you don’t – if you can’t let her do the question.

(…)

GOLDBERG: Hold on. Hold on.

CONWAY: This is a book about women. I was raised by strong women.

[Crowd boos]

CONWAY: I have been manhandling jealous boys my whole – my entire life and I want to say this.

WHOOPI: Okay, we're going to go right now. If you don't stop talking. I need you to let the closing question happen.

After the segments with Conway, co-host Sunny Hostin had the nerve to claim they don’t “attack personally” on the show.

This horrible treatment of Conway was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from CarShield and Hulu. Their contact information is linked.

KELLYANNE CONWAY: What I don't appreciate and will never forgive or forget are a bunch of adults direct messaging from my 15-year-old daughter without even trying to reach easy-to-reach parents, it's outrageous. You can’t have a 15-year-old in your audience without a parent. She can’t get her ears pierced, go to an R-rated movie, drive, vote.

JOY BEHAR: That's terrible. Terrible.

CONWAY: And it’s terrible and it’s unforgivable, Joy. And it was certainly started with this Peter Pan, Taylor Lorenz at The New York Times. But she wasn't alone. I’ve seen the direct messages. People just contacting my daughter. I would never contact your children.

SUNNY HOSTIN: But it's a year later, he's still lying.

CONWAY: And guess what – the fact is; our hearts are broken – my heart is broken that Joe Biden is president because look what’s happened. In less time than it takes to have a baby, they’ve screwed up the country.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: [Mocking cackle] Excuse me.

CONWAY: Whoopi, I read the ABC News poll—

[Crosstalk]

GOLDBERG: You know what, I'm not a big poll person because polls can be manipulated, as you know.

CONWAY: But I am. I know. I sat here hearing that Hillary Clinton couldn’t lose because the polls.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN (interrupting): I wanted to help my junior staff get jobs. I stayed for three weeks after.

CONWAY: No, that’s good. That’s good. I think people should know that because I haven’t seen you’ve changed. But I want to say this to you--

GRIFFIN (interrupting): I didn't change. Just to be clear, I didn’t change. I swore an oath to the Constitution.

CONWAY: I don’t want to argue. You get to talk here every day. I’m here as a guest.

GRIFFIN: I swore an oath to the Constitution, not to Donald Trump.

CONWAY: I know. As we all did.

CONWAY: Alyssa, if you're saying that somehow you think we're supposed to think that you've seen the light and not just see your name in lights, that's not fair.
