For their post-State of the Union show, on Wednesday, the cackling coven of ABC’s The View was joined by Democratic Party princess Chelsea Clinton, who was treated like royalty as they all gushed over her opinions about the address, lawsuits against former President Trump, and how her mother, Hillary Clinton “took on Fox News” after they reported on how her campaign spied on Trump.
“You know, it was wonderful for me to see that your mother recently took on the former twice impeached disgraced president for spreading lies about her, and accusing her of spying on his campaign which we all know is false, well, most of us know,” co-host Sunny Hostin boasted, spreading falsehoods.
Clinton immediately touted how her mother “also took on Fox News” by suggesting their coverage of Special Counsel John Durham’s filings was done with “actual malice.” “Yes, she did! And I loved that! Because I think that they're certainly liable for something,” Hostin gushed.
Last month, the cast urged Hillary to sue Fox News for daring to cover the Durham filings against a member of her campaign. “Should Hillary finally take Fox to court,” Behar asked the group at the time.
“Actual malice is actually the standard for defamation if you are defaming a famous person, and she’s certainly is somebody that is famous in the public eye,” Hostin bragged in response. “So, it’s a very high standard but she's telling them, ‘you're actually reaching this legal standard.’ And I'm sure Fox's lawyers were listening to that kind of thing.”
Keeping with the topic of targeting lawsuits at political opponents on Wednesday, Hostin bizarrely asked for Clinton’s take on two members of the New York City district attorney’s office resigning from the case targeting the Trump organization and DA Alvin Bragg expressing uncertainly about the case. “Do you think Trump will ever be held responsible civilly or criminally for his actions,” Hostin urgently wanted to know.
Clinton really didn’t have any qualifications on the topic other than being from New York and her mother losing to Trump in an embarrassing and historic upset. But that didn’t stop her as she went on to praise Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James and her work going after Trump (Click “expand”):
CLINTON: Well, I certainly, you know, don't know what out DA, Alvin Bragg is thinking. I'm sure, Sunny, would have more well-informed views into that. I do though strongly support our attorney general, Tish James who, I think, deserves enormous credit for tackling criminal behavior, and kind of is doing so in a nonpartisan way.
HOSTIN: Yes.
CLINTON: She is holding power to account. She's holding Democrats who have behaved well to account, and she's holding Republicans who have not behaved well to account. And her investigation not only against the former twice impeached disgraced President Donald Trump, but his family and the organization is proceeding at pace.
“And I certainly very much look toward our attorney general here in New York State, Tish James to see kind of what she will continue to kind of push forward, and highlight,” she added.
And as they were switching topics, Hostin just wanted to reiterate that she’s “so glad your mom took on Fox News.”
This wasn’t the only ridiculous interaction they had. Earlier in the show, Hostin invited Clinton to fawn for Biden’s State of the Union address. “[H]e's so proud to be an American,” Clinton claimed. “And he wants what's best for our country. And after the last administration, just that feeling of, like, oh, God. Like, thank you. Thank you for that pride.”
Gag.
This gag inducing fawning for fawning for the Clintons was made possible because of the lucrative sponsorships from Carvana and Charmin. Their contact information is linked.

SUNNY HOSTIN: So what did you think about the speech?
CHELSEA CLINTON: I watched the speech, you know, Sunny, and literally I couldn't stay up late enough to watch the responses.
(…)
CLINTON: When you have three little kids who wake up really early, it's hard to stay up for the responses at 10:30. But for the President, you know Sunny, my main feeling and this is really what I felt watching, you know, in my living room here in New York City, is he's so proud to be an American.
HOSTIN: Yeah. Yeah.
CLINTON: And he wants what's best for our country.
HOSTIN: Yeah.
CLINTON: And after the last administration, just that feeling of, like, oh, God. Like, thank you. Thank you for that pride.
JOY BEHAR: Yeah. We were saying the same thing. It felt palpable.

MICHELE TAFOYA: President Biden defended his record. His approval rating, as we all know, is at an all-time low. The latest ABC/Washington Post has early midterm voting favors Republicans. So, given all of that, the numbers, that information, inflation, people talk about the crime that's making them nervous. What concerns do you have about the Democrats heading into the midterms?
CLINTON: Well, Michele, my main concern is that everyone is able to vote. I really want Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act because I want everyone to be able to vote. I want Republicans, Democrats, independents, libertarians, the kid who's excited to turn 18 who's going to cast their first ballot, you know, the Americans who are over 100 who need mail-in voting or early voting to be able to ensure that their voice is heard.
And as a Democrat, I do believe that, you know, our President, our party have the policies that are most popular with the American people, and if the American people are able to vote, we will have good outcomes in the midterm election.

HOSTIN: You know, it was wonderful for me to see that your mother recently took on the former twice impeached disgraced president for spreading lies about her, and accusing her of spying on his campaign which we all know is false, well, most of us know.
CLINTON: She also took on Fox News.
HOSTIN: Yes, she did! And I loved that! Because I think that they're certainly liable for something.
Well, last week the two lead prosecutors of the Manhattan DA's prone of Trump and his business practices abruptly resigned after the DA reportedly said he wasn't interested and had doubts about the case. Do you think Trump will ever be held responsible civilly or criminally for his actions?
CLINTON: Well, I certainly, you know, don't know what out DA, Alvin Bragg is thinking. I'm sure, Sunny, would have more well-informed views into that. I do though strongly support our attorney general, Tish James who, I think, deserves enormous credit for tackling criminal behavior, and kind of is doing so in a nonpartisan way.
HOSTIN: Yes.

And her investigation not only against the former twice impeached disgraced President Donald Trump, but his family and the organization is proceeding at pace.
And so, I completely understand the kind of trying to see what the tea leaves are saying around Alvin Bragg and his office. I also think it's important to recognize that is one of only many investigations –
HOSTIN: Many.
CLINTON -- that are current under way. And I certainly very much look toward our attorney general here in New York State, Tish James to see kind of what she will continue to kind of push forward, and highlight.
HOSTIN: Yeah.
CLINTON: Because I imagine there's more to come here.
HOSTIN: And I'm so glad your mom took on Fox News.
CLINTON: Me too.
