Sports World Positively Affected After Buffalo Alters Vaccine Requirements

The city of Buffalo is finally getting with the times on their response to COVID-19, and the sports world is benefitting from it.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced that starting Monday, no one will have to wear a mask in any building owned by Erie County, and that he will lift the mandate for the entire county if Gov. Kathy Hochul (a mandate fanatic) drops the statewide mandate.

Poloncarz’s actions seem to have started a domino effect that carried over into the sports world. On Monday, the Buffalo Bills, one of the most strict franchises in the NFL when it came to following CDC “science”with mask mandates, will no longer require fans to provide their vaccination status to enter Highmark Stadium in the fall.

Following their example, the Buffalo Sabres announced in a press release that fans who go into KeyBank Center to see the Sabres, the Buffalo Bandits (the city’s National Lacrosse League team), or attend a concert will no longer have to provide a vaccine card to enter and that the arena’s mask policies will be loosened as well:

“The new policy will go into effect immediately. It is recommended that individuals follow current CDC guidelines as it pertains to mask wearing and that of their own comfort level.”

The new mandate also means that fans who attend the NCAA March Madness games on March 17 and 19 can attend without having to answer to any pointless vaccine mandate.

It feels good to see the world returning to normal again.
