As the Russian invasion of Ukraine was still underway, the cackling coven of ABC’s The View flaunted just how low-class they are by openly worrying about how the assault could put a dampener on their European vacation plans. They also suggested all conservatives and Republicans were “on Putin’s side” of the conflict.
“Well, I'm scared of what's going to happen in Western Europe too,” Behar declared after a couple of segments with ABC chief foreign affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz, who was on the ground in Lviv, Ukraine in the western part of the country.
Behar then voiced her concern about how it could force her to further put off a dream trip to Italy:
You know, you just plan a trip. You want to go there, want to go to Italy for four years, and I haven't been able to make it because of the pandemic, and now this. You know, it's, like, what's going to happen there too?
A few moments later, Behar became unhinged and suggested that “people on the right in this country are on Putin's side[.]” She built off of that and wondered if they were being paid off, asking, “What are they making a lot of money over there?”
Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to tie the invasion to January 6 and smeared the right by saying there was a kinship with the hostile invaders over it:
HOSTIN: There's a parallel there to the insurrection.
BEHAR: Right.
HOSTIN: People thought they could just take the election, and I think that's why you see so many people on the right thinking that this is okay. This is the fall of our democracy in the world. In the world.
Perhaps this is The View once again living up to “the ABC standard.”
The View’s misplaced priorities and misinformation about the right was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Ensure and Olay. Their contact information is linked.

JOY BEHAR: Well, I'm scared of what's going to happen in Western Europe too.
SUNNY HOSTIN: Yeah.
BEHAR: You know, you just plan a trip. You want to go there, want to go to Italy for four years, and I haven't been able to make it because of the pandemic, and now this. You know, it's, like, what's going to happen there too?
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Yeah. Yeah.
And, you know, this guy, he's a singular sensation in a certain way. You know what I mean? I don't know that the whole -- that he has that much support in his country like you say, and maybe that has to be addressed because we've seen this movie before.

BEHAR: But doesn't it scare you that people on the right in this country are on Putin's side? I mean, I can't believe it.
GOLDBERG: Nothing surprises me anymore with this.
BEHAR: What are they making a lot of money over there?
[Crosstalk]
In order to spew these lies?
HOSTIN: There's a parallel there to the insurrection.
BEHAR: Right.
HOSTIN: People thought they could just take the election, and I think that's why you see so many people on the right thinking that this is okay. This is the fall of our democracy in the world. In the world.
