The View’s Joy Behar took over a segment that should’ve been criticizing President Biden on Wednesday, to instead attack moderate Democrats. The hosts were talking about the military top brass contradicting Biden’s claim that he had support for complete troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and his poor poll numbers. But not far into it, Behar steered the conversation away to instead complain that Democrats Joe Manchin [WV] and Kyrsten Sinema [AZ] were actually responsible for “destroying the country,” and Biden’s fledgling performance.
Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin all stayed on-topic, unwilling to criticize Biden. Goldberg was particularly charitable, saying, “I mean, he is the President of the United States and it's a messy job...I just feel like, listen as long as he’s trying to get stuff I done, I like that. I want him to be trying to get stuff done.”
Sunny Hostin decided to use her time to backtrack for comments she made last week criticizing General Mark Milley, and apologizing for her “harsh” assessment.
But Joy Behar wanted to trash Joe Manchin [D-WV] and Kyrsten Sinema [D-AZ] as the biggest problems the Biden administration had to face.
“What I think is making Joe Biden’s administration shaky right now, is what’s going on between the Democrats in his own party,” she asserted griping that Biden was “really on track to be the next Lyndon B. Johnson,” but moderates were standing in the way.
“The Democrats have the numbers to make it happen, but Manchin and Sinema are standing in their way. They call themselves Democrats, and they will be the ruination of this nation!” she dramatically warned.
Complaining that Manchin supported coal and both senators was against Biden’s 3.5 trillion dollar spending bill, the View host declared both were the “enemies of democracy” because they would make Democrats look ineffective and lead to another Republican in the Oval Office:
These people are destroying the country, in my opinion. We are--so much in trouble in this country. I don’t think people understand how dire the situation is. If Joe Biden loses, if the Democrats lose, the Republicans who are so corrupt right now and we all know that, they will move in, Trump will run in 2024, he might win because of all the cheating that is going on. We cannot let this happen. Manchin and Sinema must be brought to task. They are the enemies right now, of the democracy as you pointed out before. Yes we have a great democracy but it is really on life support right now because of these two people.
Hostin agreed with Behar’s assessment, complaining that she couldn’t figure out what Sinema’s “end goal” is.
The segment wrapped up with Behar arguing that the far-left agenda is what Americans want, but Sara Haines disagreed:
BEHAR: But the progressives are more in line with what America wants!
HAINES: I--I don’t think the progressives are what every American want.
HOSTIN: No, absolutely they want a living wage, Sara they want Medicare for all!
HAINES: I don’t think the progressive extremes represent the majority of Americans.
BEHAR: Well they want Medicare expansion, they want childcare, they want the streets and roads to be cleaned up…

First of all, Joe Manchin, is never going to vote for climate change things because he gets a half a million dollars a year from coal production. Kyrsten Sinema,---she went to a fundraiser scheduled this week with business lobbying groups that fiercely oppose Biden’s social and climate spending bill. They don’t want their taxes to be raised and she’s on their team!
