On Tuesday night’s episode of All In, MSNBC host Chris Hayes was joined by liberal pundit Zerlina Maxwell of SiriusXM with Business Insider senior financial correspondent Linette Lopez to speculate over Trump’s reelection strategy. Maxwell began: “I don't think it's about whether it's gonna work. I think it's that he is willing to rip the country completely apart -- in order to win reelection.”
‘Ripping’ the country apart, of course meant: “He doesn't care about the consequences of basically ripping the scab off of white supremacy and the history of racism in this country, which already is leading to violence, can lead to more violence.” So Trump is intentionally trying to start a race war in order to garner support?
Lopez joined the discussion: “And it seems to be, to me, that he will stop at nothing. And if that means exploding racism in the United States, that's what we're going to do. And that's what we're all going to have to live through.”
Hayes felt that this "explosion" of racism wasn’t a "strategy" but instead an inherent part of evil dictator Trump’s persona: “I think it's also the case, and this is important to not sort of lose sight of, is like you said, it’s guttural. This is who he is. When he says it's not a strategy, like it is who he is, and it is going to get worse over time.”
According to Hayes, Trump’s just a racist who’s end goal has always been destruction and violence -- and this is obviously the Republican’s fault: “-- there are a lot of effects that are horrible. But one of them is watching him march the line forward and watching everyone else fall in to defend it. You know, there's like -- at what point -- like everyone should stop expecting that Mick Mulvaney will stop doing anything that he is doing. Or Mitt Romney, or Mitch McConnell.”
Maxwell agreed: “They go along with whatever he says. And I don't see the racism as simply a debate or a conversation about strategy, I think it's a threat.” She continued: “He is basically threatening us with going full racist, which can lead to violence, in order to win reelection.”
The more the liberal media is ‘threatened’ by the potentiality of Trump being reelected, the more anger and divide they try to excite within the country.

MAXWELL: In order to win reelection. He doesn't care about the consequences of basically ripping the scab off of white supremacy and the history of racism in this country, which already is leading to violence, can lead to more violence. And it's like a tinderbox. And he is basically letting it go free, and he doesn't care if anybody gets hurt. And that's the scary part for me.
LINETTE LOPEZ [BUSINESS INSIDER, SENIOR FINANCIAL CORRESPONDENT]: The story that he is hiding is that his son --
HAYES: Son-in-law.
LOPEZ: Son-in-law got together with an American billionaire to profit from selling secrets of nuclear secrets to a murderous foreign government.
HAYES: In the most dangerous part of the world in possible violation -- possible circumvention of the guard rails that are supposed to be put in place.
LOPEZ: This is what Jack Bauer is supposed to stop. This is Bond villain stuff.
HAYES: Right.
LOPEZ: And it seems to be, to me, that he will stop at nothing. And if that means exploding racism in the United States, that's what we're going to do. And that's what we're all going to have to live through.

MAXWELL: Well, that’s the thing, that’s the problem we are having in this moment. The Republicans are completely invisible. They're absent. They go along with whatever he says. And I don't see the racism as simply a debate or a conversation about strategy, I think it's a threat.
HAYES: Yes.
MAXWELL: He is basically threatening us with going full racist, which can lead to violence, in order to win reelection. Because certain people like Elijah Cummings are looking into the corruption in his administration and he is afraid of that.
