The big tech censorship of conservative content and influencers across all social media platforms has raised questions about the impact the internet has on restricting free speech. To discuss the silencing of ideas that dissent from social media companies’ liberal worldviews, President Trump held a social media summit with prominent names in the conservative movement at the White House on Thursday afternoon. And surprise, surprise, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel let it be known he was unimpressed.
Rather than express any sympathy for conservatives being denied their First Amendment rights, Kimmel unleashed a vicious attack against all who attended the summit on Thursday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live:
You know, the President hasn't extended an invitation yet to the women's soccer team to visit the White House, but today he rolled out the orange carpet for a hangout with all his favorite wing nuts. He held what he called a social media summit at the White House today. So he invited a group of people that included conspiracy theorists, internet trolls....All the worst people, people who like their own posts, all the worst people on the internet.
This kind of nasty rhetoric is to be expected from Kimmel who has made his career off of trashing President Trump and conservatives alike. From his vile attacks on protective heartbeat bills to calling for Eric and Donald Trump Jr. to be put in cages, Kimmel has become the ultimate liberal "wing nut" and "troll" of late night television.
In what was truly a laughable sentiment, Kimmel even suggested liberal Facebook and Twitter were primarily responsible for the election of President Trump:
And Trump notably did not invite Facebook or Twitter to the summit because he claims they are biased against him, even though they’re a big reason why he got elected. Without Twitter, Trump would be a crazy old man yelling at buss boys at Mar-a-Lago right now.
The truth of the matter is the liberal media are only too happy to censor conservative speech while freely promoting a left-wing agenda and coarsening the public discourse.

JIMMY KIMMEL: You know, the President hasn't extended an invitation yet to the women's soccer team to visit the White House, but today he rolled out the orange carpet for a hangout with all his favorite wing nuts. He held what he called a social media summit at the White House today. So he invited a group of people that included conspiracy theorists, internet trolls, QAnon followers. All the worst people, people who like their own posts, all the worst people on the internet. There haven't been this many trolls in one room since the table read for Lord of the Rings. And Trump notably did not invite Facebook or Twitter to the summit because he claims they are biased against him, even though they're a big reason why he got elected. Without Twitter, Trump would be a crazy old man yelling at buss boys at Mar-a-Lago right now. But he doesn't trust them because with all that is going on in the world, what the President seems most concerned about is how many likes he gets on Twitter.
