Thursday morning on MSNBC, it was just another day at the liberal network, as host Stephanie Ruhle and her anti-Trump guests spent an entire segment repeatedly calling the President a “pig” and gossipping about his alleged preference for pornography.
On a June 7 morning edition of MSNBC Live, Ruhle began by blasting Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani for dismissing the third lawsuit porn star Stormy Daniels has brought against Trump, saying he couldn’t “respect” a porn star like he could a “career woman” or “woman of substance.”
Gushing about the “vile” comment to correspondent Kristen Welker, Ruhle invited her “dream panel” of Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti, Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski and former Democratic councilwoman Christine Quinn to continue the bashing of Giuliani and Trump as sexist hypocrites.
Avenatti happily obliged, immediately calling Giuliani an “out of touch” “disgusting pig” that needed to be “fired immediately.” After snarking that Trump’s legal team could have no say on Stormy Daniels’ character if they had never watched porn, she actually asked fellow MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski, if Ivanka Trump should’ve said something on behalf of Daniels.
Brzezinski took the question in another direction, calling Donald Trump a hypocrite, because an anonymous source told her that the president’s “biggest complaint” about being president was that he couldn’t watch porn in the White House:
RUHLE: Ivanka Trump has raised her hand as the champion for women in this White House. Stormy Daniels, how you feel about her career choice, is neither here nor there. She didn't commit a crime. She supported herself, she supported her child. Do you wonder where Ivanka's voice is here?
BRZEZINSKI:I do. It's a fact, by the way that Stormy Daniel got the payment from Donald Trump through Michael Cohen, which he lied about at first. I wonder where ivanka's voice is on a number of issues. But back to the Rudy story, I’ll tell you a couple of things. First of all, the hypocrisy is astounding. Because I know someone who spoke to Donald Trump recently about life in the White House and Donald Trump's biggest complaint was that he's not allowed to watch porn in the White House. So there you go. There's a little bit of news for you. He's upset he can't watch porn in the White House.
Brzezinski added that Giuliani was a “pig” for daring to comment on Daniels’ character. “The president and his attorney have taken us back, like decades,” she complained.
Quinn complained that Ivanka was no better, having been “nothing but a hypocrite and a coward” in standing up for women and the “LGBT community.”
“It's a bad day for humanity,” Ruhle gushed in agreement before describing a hypothetical scenario that wasn’t too far removed from reality:
“Imagine if the three of us sat here and said, 'look at those crazy old men. Look at those crazy old cigar smoking wacky men spouting their mouths. Spouting lies!' I mean, they would say we're inappropriate, we're ageist!” Ruhle gushed.
“How is in 2018 Rudy Giuliani can say this and you don't have an immediate apology from the White House? How does Ivanka Trump stand up and say ‘I'm making my way back to New York? This is too shameful,’” she brought the onus back on Ivanka, again.
