For two days now, the liberal media’s anti-Israel smears have grown wilder and arguably begun to border on something more. The Tuesday evening broadcasts of the major network news outlets (ABC, CBS, and NBC) were no exception as they mourned with the Palestinians on the day they call the “catastrophe,” or the anniversary of Israel’s creation.
This pro-Palestinan reporting also included breathless parroting of Gaza propaganda and no criticism of Hamas, the terrorist organization that brutalizes people in the region.
CBS Evening News dove right into the anti-Israel slogans as they kicked off their coverage. “Turning to the Middle East now, Palestinians marked the 70th anniversary of what they call the ‘Nakba’ or ‘catastrophe’ after the founding of Israel and the loss of their homes,” announced fill-in anchor Bianna Golodryga.
“Israeli forces killed two Palestinians today as protests continued over the relocation of the U.S. Embassy yesterday and the anniversary of the formation of a Jewish state, which was 70 years ago today,” anchor Jeff Glor added from Jerusalem.
The report by foreign correspondent Holly Williams began with a crowd of Palestinians screaming, “Allahu Akbar!” “They're no strangers to bloodshed in war-torn Gaza, and today they buried their dead yet again. Several of them were children according to Palestinian officials,” she lamented as images of bodies wrapped in the Hamas flag were flashing on the screen. She and Glor both parroted Palestinian claims that 60 people were killed by the Israelis, a dubious claim made by those who lie routinely.
Williams pushed the suggestion that most of the border assaulters were peaceful. “Some hurling rocks and burning tires,” she explained. And she scoffed at Israeli reports of people “throwing grenades and pipe bombs,” and there was no mention of those who showed up with guns and butcher knives to kill Jews. She also touted the criticism from the U.N Human Rights Council, with no mention of the fact the organization counts some of the world’s worst human rights abusers as members.
Meanwhile on ABC’s World News Tonight, chief foreign correspondent Terry Moran chided the Trump family for leaving the region a mess. “Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner bidding Israel farewell today after opening the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. Fanfare and fireworks. Their work now behind them. They also left behind this. More clashes throughout Gaza and the West Bank,” he spat.
Moran also used the unverifiable Palestinian provided statistic of 60 killed. “A baby suffocated by tear gas laid to rest. They draped their flag on the little body,” he sighed. There was no question about why someone would bring a baby to a literal war zone. But such questions are inconvenient when targeting the Jewish state with age-old smears.
And on NBC Nightly News, aside from also repeating those same questionable figures, chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel bemoaned how the killings gave Hamas power (as if they didn’t already have control). “The leader of Hamas which runs the Gaza Strip arrived unannounced in a main demonstration. His militant supporters calling for rockets to fly toward Israel,” he reported.
The liberal media have been ratcheting up their anti-Israel hate starting on Sunday and it has only grown uglier as they rely more and more on Palestinian propaganda to fill out their reports. And with their reliance on those who have issues with transparency, even faking the death of children and using them as human shields, they continue to scoff at the facts provided by the U.S. and Israel.

WILLIAMS: While many of the Palestinian protesters on Monday were peaceful, we saw some hurling rocks and burning tires. Israel accused others of throwing grenades and pipe bombs and released this video it says shows Palestinians attempting to breach the border fence. Israel claims at least 24 of those it killed were terrorists. The U.S., like Israel, blames the violence on Hamas, the militant group that controls the Gaza Strip.
NIKKI HALEY: No country in this chamber would act with more restraint than Israel has.

TERRY MORAN: Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner bidding Israel farewell today after opening the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. Fanfare and fireworks. Their work now behind them. They also left behind this. More clashes throughout Gaza and the West Bank. In Bethlehem, Israeli forces firing tear gas from vehicle-mounted launchers. In Ramallah, we saw protesters hurling stones with slingshots in a running battle that lasted for hours.
This is not the front lines here. The Palestinians are throwing stones, the Israelis responding with tear gas and the occasional rubber bullet. There have been several injured, no fatalities. In Gaza, two protesters were killed today, but it was more a day of grieving for the 60 killed here yesterday. A baby suffocated by tear gas laid to rest. They draped their flag on the little body. At other funerals, anger and defiance.
CROWD: Allahu Akbar!
MORAN: The Trump administration standing 100 percent behind Israel amid calls for an investigation of the violence. U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley rejecting any suggestion that Israeli forces may have used excessive force.
NIKKI HALEY: No country in this chamber would act with more restraint than Israel has.
MORAN: Then, as the Palestinian ambassador prepared to speak, Haley walked out.

And Terry, Nikki Haley refusing to criticize Israel, and she also refused to draw a parallel connection between the violence we've seen in the last 24 hours, in fact, saying it doesn't have anything to do with the location of the American embassy?
MORAN: That's right, David. That is the position of the U.S. government. They also say that this shouldn't stop any peace talks, but Palestinians right now rejecting all talks, though they feel utterly powerless right now. One man saying to me, “what can we do to stop any of this? We just have to take it.” David?

The region already on edge with new violence erupting today. NBC Chief Foreign correspondent Richard Engel has more now from Gaza.

RICHARD ENGEL: In Gaza, angry funerals today after health officials say Israeli troops shot dead more than 60 Palestinian protesters including six children Monday when they tried to rush the Israeli border. Cameras catching them fall after being hit. And today in Gaza, Israel seemed determined not to repeat the bloodshed, using an air campaign to keep protesters from ever reaching the border fence. Drones hovered above the protesters, dropping small teargas bombs. Two loads per drone flying nonstop. You never knew when or where they would drop.
[Engel pointing out a drone to his camera man] Turn around. Turn around. These protests are not letting up. Among Palestinians, there is no conviction that President Trump is an arbiter for the peace process. As far as they are concerned the peace process -- is over. [Puts on gas mask]
And without hope for a negotiated peace, extremists have a free hand to fuel Palestinian anger. The leader of Hamas which runs the Gaza Strip arrived unannounced in a main demonstration. His militant supporters calling for rockets to fly toward Israel. And while U.N. Human Rights officials are criticizing Israel for using lethal force against protesters, Israel and the Trump administration are blaming Hamas for sparking the latest round of violence.
