The far left is ready to say anything in order to villainize the current administration.
After President Donald Trump tweeted his support for Sue Kruczek, a mother who lost her son to the opioid epidemic, who appeared on Fox and Friends on February 12, someone wasn’t happy. Dean Obeidallah, a columnist for CNN and the Daily Beast and a radio host on SiriusXM, replied to Trump’s tweet with a story from Politico about Kellyanne Conway and an angry statement blaming Trump for the death of Sue Kruczek’s son.
Obeidallah said, “Sadly Trump has put a GOP pollster in charge of the fight on opioid meaning more Americans will die because of Trump's incompetence. Trump should be charged with manslaughter!” For someone who claims to be a lawyer in his Twitter bio, Obeidallah seems to be unfamiliar with how the law works.
But the liberal commentator is obsessed with the idea of death. On February 13, he tweeted, “If you like to see people on Medicare, food stamps and Medicaid die then you will really LOVE Donald Trump’s Nasty Budget.”
His reactionary leftist headlines, published on CNN, include, “Trump May Be the Most Anti-Women US President Ever,” “SNL Is Wrong -- Trump Is Far Worse Than Bush,” “Trump Owes Us Money,” and “SNL is Right -- Trump’s Chaos is Part of A Plan.” Whatever happened to “Facts First,” CNN?
Even though Trump’s proposed budget calls for billions to be poured into the Department of Health and Human Services in order to “expand prevention, treatment, recovery and mental health services” in regards to the opioid epidemic, somehow it’s not enough for Obeidallah. The fact that Kellyanne Conway has some control over the agenda means that Trump is guilty of manslaughter.
That’s a bit of a stretch for logic.
