On Thursday, the Democratic Party newspaper known as The New York Times published a story headlined "He’s a Nazi, Republicans Warn, but He’s Their Likely Nominee for Congress."
Liam Stack began: “Arthur Jones, a Holocaust denier described as a Nazi by the Illinois Republican Party, is poised to win the Republican primary in the state's Third Congressional District. He is running unopposed, all but guaranteeing he will soon be the official Republican candidate for the House of Representatives.”
One can question why this piece of trivia makes a national newspaper (other than Democrat glee). Stack noted Jones has failed to win the GOP nod in five previous attempts, and only took it now because this is a solid Democrat district in Chicago that the local GOP couldn’t find another candidate to stave off this offensive person on the ballot line.
But if this is national news, how has the Times missed covering how national pro-abortion lobbies are promoting a primary challenge to incumbent Congressman Daniel Lipinski, which is an actual development inside the national Democratic Party -- that they can’t abide a pro-life Democrat?
Somehow, the Times hasn’t reported what Peter Hasson of the Daily Caller reported on Monday, that another Democratic congressman from Chicago, Danny Davis, praised anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in an interview.
Davis, who has been in Congress since 1997, defended Obama for meeting Farrakhan and was open about his own ties to the hate group leader in an interview with The Daily Caller on Monday.
“I personally know [Farrakhan], I’ve been to his home, done meetings, participated in events with him,” Davis told TheDC.
“I don’t regard Louis Farrakhan as an aberration or anything, I regard him as an outstanding human being who commands a following of individuals who are learned and articulate and he plays a big role in the lives of thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people,” he emphasized later.
On Wednesday, Hasson added another layer to the Democrat embrace of Farrakhan:
Twenty-one members of the Congressional Black Caucus facing questions about their ties to Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan have all refused to condemn the hate group leader.
The CBC, it was recently revealed, held a secret meeting with Farrakhan in 2005 but hid it from the public to avoid controversy. Twenty-one members of the caucus today were part of the caucus at the time of the secret Farrakhan meeting. All 21 declined to denounce Farrakhan when asked by The Daily Caller.
On Friday, Hasson added a third article in this vein:
Three Democratic congressmen attended a private dinner hosted by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in 2013, a new report reveals.
Reps. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Andre Carson of Indiana and Gregory Meeks of New York attended the private dinner, along with Louis Farrakhan, a notorious anti-Semite who leads the black supremacist group Nation of Islam.
All of this springs from the story of a suppressed photo of Barack Obama smiling next to Farrakhan at a 2005 meeting with the CBC. Askia Muhammad, a Nation of Islam leader who serves as news director for the hard-left Pacifica radio station in the nation’s capital, recently said he was asked to surrender the photo – which he did, but kept a copy. The New York Times missed that story, too.
