CNN's April Ryan went into full trolling mode on Tuesday, wondering if the current administration “thinks slavery is wrong.” Additionally, the network decided it was too much to simply show a press briefing with Sarah Huckabee Sanders talking, CNN must oppose her with an on-screen “correction."
As the briefing ended, liberal CNN analyst April Ryan yelled at Sanders: “Sarah, is slavery wrong? Sarah, is slavery wrong? Does this administration think that slavery was wrong? Sarah, does this administration believe slavery was wrong?”
Generally speaking, journalists don’t scream at Democratic administrations to wonder if the present-day party supports the Trail of Tears conducted by Democrat Andrew Johnson or the pro-slavery Democrats who fought the Union in the Civil War.
Earlier, Sanders berated her journalistic interrogators:
My guess is if you look at the records, the questions that I take in here... have far more to do with an investigation that, frankly, most Americans don’t care too much about and a whole lot less to do with policies that actually impact them.
During this, CNN had a graphic called “facts first” to make sure no one believed Sanders. (See picture at right.) Can one imagine a “facts first” graphic to argue with a live Obama speech? A 2020 Democratic primary? Correcting Elizabeth Warren? It seems unlikely.
CNN has gotten increasingly erratic during the Trump era. In June, the network hired a sketch artist for an off-camera White House briefing.

10/31/17JON KARL: Chief of staff John Kelly said this special counsel investigation has been very distracting for the president. Can you elaborate on that? Is this affecting his ability to get his job done?
SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS: I don't think it's affecting his ability to get the job done. That wasn't the point he was making. You guys seem completely obsessed with this. While a lot of other things happening around the country and frankly a lot of other things care a lot more about. The media refuses to cover it. And that's the distraction instead the focus being on constantly on tax cuts and tax reform. My guess is if you look at the records, the questions that I take in here day out have far more to do with an investigation that most Americans don’t care too much about and a whole lot less to do with policies that actually impact them.
