Far-left View co-host Joy Behar slobbered all over Bernie Sanders, Wednesday, lauding the socialist as a “hot” “hero.” This is the same Behar who previously said that she was “aroused” by the politician.
Introducing him on the show, the host fawned, “Anyone who watches this show is well aware of my admiration and respect for Senator Bernie Sanders. And what's not to like? He's tireless. He's conscientious. He's dedicated. And let's face it, he's hot.”
She cheered, “ Please welcome my hero, Senator Bernie Sanders.” Behar offered this softball:
Let's jump in with Russia. There seems to be a lot of interaction between Trump and the Russians from his son to his former campaign manager, Manafort, to even Trump himself. The list goes on. Every day, something else comes out. Now, do you see any smoking gun here at all?
On October 14, 2015, Behar raved over the leftist candidate: “I like an old Jewish guy who's a socialist. That's my type of guy. Everybody is talking about O'Malley and how hot he was, but to me Bernie is hot.”
It was left to co-host Sunny Hostin to quiz Sanders on his growing scandal. She brought it up, but mentioned that it could all be "sexism":
Senator, your wife Jane is currently under investigation for bank fraud for a loan she took out while president of Burlington College in Vermont. Jane has been interviewed and she said, “Listen, this is sexist, people trying to get to my husband through me.” Tell us what is really going on.
This is a controversy the networks have tried to ignore.

JEDEDIAH BILA: Senator, Trump has said most people would have taken this meeting that his son took. We all know that politics can be dirty. Some out there are saying the DNC worked very hard to have you not be the candidate representing Democrats last time around. What do you say to people who say this is just politics as usual? This is just how it works?

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: All right. Here's my question. Health care, it seems, you know, ObamaCare is here to stay. Someone finally figured this out. Is it now time for everybody to shut up, sit down, and figure out what works and what doesn't work?

BILA: I want to talk about the rhetoric, then, Senator. If you're going to sit down with people on both sides of the aisle, some Democrats have branded Republicans the party of death, for example. Calling the tax cuts in the Senate health care bill blood money. You have said Republicans are potentially killing Americans. Is that rhetoric irresponsible? And does it provide an impasse to compromise? If you're going to sit down with those very people that you said want to kill people?
SANDERS: No, I never said. You're using rhetoric that I didn't use.
BILA: Oh, am I? These with quotes. Party of death is a quote.
SANDERS: No, no. This is what I said. What I said and it's not me. This is a dozen or more studies that show that if you throw 22 million people off the insurance they have, these are people who have cancer.
BILA: If fairness, if you have Republicans proposing alternatives. Republicans who come from a good place and believe the free market is the solution, who don't want people to die, who don't want people to suffer, if you don't acknowledge that those people exist as well on both sides of the aisle, how can you get to the table and compromise?...

SANDERS: All right. Well, let me tell you what is going on. I'm glad you asked that question. Let me tell you hat is going on. When my wife became president of this very small college in Burlington, Vermont, it had serious financial problem, serious academic problems. Seven years later, that college was in better shape academically than it had ever been. Five years after she left the school. Five years. A vice chairman of the Republican Party in the state of Vermont and Donald Trump's campaign director initiated an investigation against my wife as president. It wasn't the bank that she did business with. It wasn't the entity that she bought the property. It was the vice chair of the Republican Party. My wife is one of most honest people I know. She worked extraordinarily hard at that college and did a great job. We'll see where the process goes.
