At a time when comedians frequently poke fun at Christians, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is celebrating Easter by spreading the good news through the cutest avenue possible: little children.
On Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel Live showed producers asking kids on Hollywood Boulevard, “What is the meaning of Easter?”
While some children guessed (Jesus “made a bunny” on Easter), other kids knew their stuff. One thing was clear: they were all excited about the upcoming holiday.
“Jesus rose from the dead,” one little boy answered, while another girl explained in detail how it took “three days, then two angels to help them move a boulder, and Jesus was alive.”
“He did this,” one boy exclaimed, while spreading his arms out in the form of a cross.
For the last question, a show producer asked what Jesus did “when he came back to life?” A little toddler danced around in answer, which prompted laughs even from Kimmel.
“That is really accurate,” the late-night host concluded. “Thank you, children.”
