The View’s Sunny Hostin on Tuesday waded into some dangerous territory as the show’s hosts discussed an attempted assassination of Donald Trump. After Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar condemned the attack, Hostin wondered if the “vile” Trump was to blame for a tone that leads to violence: “You are never supposed to violently try to take someone out because of their views. But with the Trump campaign and all that campaign rhetoric to incite violence— ”
She continued, “He [Trump] did say ‘I should punch this guy out,’ one of the protesters. It makes me wonder whether or not that campaign, the vileness of it and all the rhetoric will bring more people out of the woodwork like that.”
Proving she was serious, Hostin repeated, “I wonder whether or not that's part of it.” Back in November, the co-host said, “The bottom line is there was a lot of rhetoric out there and people need to be more accountable for what comes out of their mouth.”
Hostin was discussing a shooting at a Colorado Planned Parenthood. She connected, “The bottom line there is, yes, that is sort of tossing fuel onto something that's already very, very flammable.”
Perhaps Hostin should watch some of the things coming out of her mouth.

11:01WHOOPI GOLDBERG: A Donald Trump campaign stop in Las Vegas had a very terrifying moment yesterday when a 19-year-old man tried to disarm a police officer saying he wanted to kill Trump. And he said if he's on the street tomorrow he will try again. I mean, you know, as a nation this is just my — for my two cents. As a nation we can disagree with each other all we want. But the idea of taking somebody out because they disagree with you is not an American concept. It's not rational. It's not smart.
JOY BEHAR: Yeah.
GOLDBERG: It's a horrifying thing, a terrible thing to do. You can screaming at him that you don't like his politics. You have no right, no right to try to take him out.
BEHAR: It's interesting, Whoopi, that this guy is a Brit. Not a Mexican or a Muslim, the two groups that trump has been vilifying. A white guy from England.
GOLDBERG: Just saying. So, are you going to be nervous about white people now? Donald Trump?
PAULA FARIS: He was here on an expired Visa. Living in his car. The AP was reporting he was autistic and previously tried to hill himself. So this is probably somebody not in their right mind. For those who are in our right mind, take advice from Whoopi let's all agree to disagree and do so without being disagreeable or without violence.
BEHAR: Of course.
