The media's obsession with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis continued on Tuesday as Katy Tur Reports guest host Geoff Bennett let Agriculture Commissioner and gubernatorial candidate Nikki Fried spread multiple untruths about DeSantis' pandemic response. That Fried was allowed to spread such claims was not surprising as Bennett's questioning relied on similarly false premises.

Jonathan Capehart's Sunday show on MSNBC devoted a segment today to slamming Fox News for its coverage of the January 6th Capitol breach. And NBC contributor Dean Obeidallah slimed Fox News as Al Jazeera and analogized Donald Trump to the greatest mass-murdering terrorist in US history.

NBC White House reporter Geoff Bennett sat in for MSNBC host Katy Tur on Thursday, and typically promoted the idea that the Democrats aren't radical enough. His guest was Adam Serwer of The Atlantic, and Bennett promoted his article titled "Democratic Leaders Are Betraying Black Voters." Serwer accused the GOP of "experimenting with voter suppression." 

Appearing on Wednesday's Katy Tur Reports on MSNBC, PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor declared that "white male conservative voters" and former President Trump are to blame for the CDC's flip-flopping on their latest guidelines that says vaccinated people should be wearing masks, but the facts said otherwise.

On his MSNBC show this morning, host Jonathan Capehart teed up Jarvis D. Johnson, one of the fleeing Texas state representatives, to say that he has told his son not to drive because he fears "retaliation" by state troopers, "rogue cops" or some "fanatic of the Republican party" taking the law "into their own hands."

Almost three years have passed since Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation and the left still can't let it go. The most recent example was Tiffany Cross, host of MSNBC's The Cross Connection, declaring that Kavanaugh exhibited "privilege" and "white man rage" while defending himself of sexual assault.

On Tiffany Cross's MSNBC show, MSNBC regular Elie Mystal twice describes pro-lifers as treating women like "incubators with mouthparts." For her part, Cross calls Justice Amy Coney Barrett "an actual, real-life Handmaid."

Black liberals on Tiffany Cross's MSNBC show attack President Biden as "failing, delusional, and hypocritical" in his efforts to end the filibuster and combat Republican voting bills. Cross implicitly accuses Democrats, seemingly including Joe Manchin and Biden, of racism, suggesting they are being hesitant because it is black voters who are most affected by the Republican voting bills.

On Saturday, MSNBC weekend host Tiffany Cross claimed Critical Race Theory is just the latest culture war boogeyman conservatives are using in their attempt to "whitewash America." Yet, she also maintained on her Saturday show that CRT is necessary in order to explain why 1619 Project creator Nikole Hannah-Jones was initially denied tenure at the University of North Carolina.

For MSNBC's Ali Velshi the sky might as well be falling, because on his Saturday he agreed with Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey that the country is at the point of no return on voting rights now that the Supreme Court has ruled that bans on ballot harvesting and out-of-precinct voting do not violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.

Former two-time Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld died on Wednesday at the age of 88. Given his role in the Iraq War, both in its conception and in how it was fought, it was inevitable that media reaction would be at least somewhat critical. On his MSNBC show, Ayman Mohyeldin, however, went much further, blaming him and the U.S. for the misery that exists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Appearing on Tiffany Cross's MSNBC show, former LAPD cop Cheryl Dorsey turned self-styled "social advocate" blames the police for the current crime surge, calling them "butt-hurt" and "cowardly."  Cross and Dorsey float a conspiracy theory that the police are intentionally inflating crime statistics in order to stave off de-funding efforts.
