In a hostile interview with Mike Pence on Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie actually interrupted the exchange to play a 26-second clip of a Clinton campaign attack ad ripping the Indiana Governor’s vice presidential debate performance. She then demanded Pence respond to the partisan hit job.

There was major negative economic news on Oct. 4, when the International Monetary Fund released its latest World Economic Outlook, but the broadcast networks paid no attention that night. The group issued new estimates for global economic growth and particular countries. Bloomberg reported that “forecasts for U.S. growth were cut to 1.6 percent this year and 2.2 percent in 2017.”

Analyzing the impact of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate, on Wednesday’s NBC Today, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd acknowledged that Indiana Governor Mike Pence did well, but assured his liberal media colleagues that Donald Trump’s campaign would lose the post-debate “spin” in the press.

In the moments following Tuesday’s lone 2016 vice presidential debate, ABC and NBC did their best to offer an overarching spin that while Democratic Senator Tim Kaine (Va.) constantly and in many cases rudely interrupted Republican Governor Mike Pence (Ind.) and moderator Elaine Quijano, the debate won’t matter much to final result and Kaine actually won despite his lack of decorum.
