It’s okay to call President Obama cool again, according to NBC’s Superstore. Quite the change from 2012 when almost anything said about him was considered racist, including the word “cool.”

All three networks on Thursday spotlighted violent, anti-Donald Trump protests across the country. On ABC’s Good Morning America, Gio Benitez noted the tear gas, the fires and chaos, but insisted, “From the ballot box to the streets of New York, these people are letting their voices be heard.” 

On Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer grilled New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on the upcoming meeting between President Obama and President-Elect Donald Trump, fretting over the “long and bitter history” between the two men.

The liberal media were in mourning on Election Night when it became clear Donald Trump would be the next president of the United States. Panic was palpable and journalists, particularly on NBC networks, blamed a significant drop in Dow futures on Trump’s victory. CBS said the drop in futures felt like “Brexit,” while Rachel Maddow claimed Trump would wear the market drop as a “badge of honor.”…

Minutes after President-Elect Donald Trump concluded his victory speech that ended on Wednesday around 3:00 a.m. Eastern, the cast of characters immediately demanded that Trump seek to “rectify” the tumbling stock market that could lead to an “economic collapse” similar to what Barack Obama inherited when he was inaugurated in 2009. 

With the presidential election returns on Tuesday remaining close well past 10:00 p.m. Eastern, a few figures in the major broadcast networks began to take stock of the situation (with some not taking it as well as others) with NBC’s Tom Brokaw and Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd admitting that we may have “totally underestimated” and looked down on “rural America.” 

The “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC were all live at 6:30 p.m. Eastern leading into their Election Night coverage and predictably, they were already giddy at scenes of Hillary supporters crying and the Clinton campaign’s election night event featuring a glass ceiling.

On Tuesday, the broadcast networks lead off their Election Day coverage by gushing over Hillary Clinton casting her ballot in Chappaqua, New York. The 8:00 a.m. ET breaking news coverage on the CBS, ABC, and NBC morning shows celebrated the “momentous moment” in which the Democratic nominee would find out if her “dream” of being president “comes true.”
