One of the lessons of the 2024 presidential election was supposed to be that the left’s culture war was too alienating of normal people. Far-left MSNBC, who’ve lost half their viewers since the election, appear to have trouble understanding that no one wants to be Karened into accepting the left’s insane cultural impositions.

Of course the corporate media were going to melt down over President-elect Trump’s cabinet picks. But the sheer intensity of their panic over the past week has been enough to surprise even their most cynical critics.

In anticipation of President-elect Donald Trump ratcheting up the deportations of illegal aliens, MSNBC contributor Maria Hinojosa has been making appearances on the liberal news network urging President Biden to thwart Trump from keeping his campaign promise by pardoning illegals before the Democrat leaves office.

When last week Mika Brzezinski said that she and Joe Scarborough would like to have a face-to-face meeting with Trump, I wrote: "As for scoring an interview with Trump himself any time soon, don't bet the rent money at Polymarkets on it, Mika!" Oy, was I wrong! On today's Morning Joe, Mika announced that this past Friday, she and Joe did indeed meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. 

On Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, co-host Symone Sanders attacks Nancy Pelosi. After a clip is played of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries questioning whether Trump's cabinet nominations are the best the country has to offer, twice mentioning RFK, Jr. by name, Sanders says: "That is why he the Leader. Much as we’re seeing today, in 2016 liberal reporters and commentators savaged Donald Trump’s first group of appointees as “radical” and “racist” “ignoramuses” who “disdain the missions of their assigned agencies.”

To comment on Trump's cabinet nominees, Sunday's episode of MSNBC's The Weekend has Chuck Rocha, a Democrat strategist, as a guest.  In his previous position as a senior union official, Rocha had been convicted of one count of felony embezzlement, and “acknowledged responsibility for the other 17 counts." Rocha compared Trump's nominees to the contents of a "junk drawer."

During a discussion on the necessity of the Senate’s role in advising and consenting to cabinet appointees on MSNBC’s Friday edition of The Beat with Ari Melber, activist and lawyer Maya Wiley took a bit of a detour to attack Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth for allegedly having “white supremacist and extremist tattoos.”

On her Wednesday show, MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell spread misinformation by suggesting Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth opposes the existence of female military pilots, thereby disrespecting those women who have suffered greatly in service to their country. On Thursday, instead of issuing a correction, Mitchell doubled down and repeated the claim.

Morning Joe notes the compliments it has received, including from Trump supporters, on the "calm and measured" way it reported Trump's win, and Mika Brzezinski says "we will continue our best efforts to be fair and objective in reporting on the incoming administration." It’s been a week since Donald Trump’s landslide re-election and some Democrats are using words like “realignment,” “self-reflection” and “regret.” It seems most on the losing side are rethinking their far-left policies on immigration and the entire social agenda. Let’s wait and see, because for the left these are matters held as near-religious doctrines.
