On Joy Reid's MSNBC show, leftist guest Eric Boehlert called Fox News a "cancer on this country" that has been "getting people killed for years." Reid quoted to Boehlert from a Washington Post column that suggested that Rupert Murdoch should force Fox News to "tell the truth" about coronavirus, and also use his influence with President Trump on the matter.

Sunday's Washington Post Magazine has a one-page "Just Asking" interview with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. On the opposing page is an arty photo of Maddow in blue light (for the blue states)? She slashed Trump: "I can’t imagine anything that Trump wouldn’t do. It doesn’t seem to me like there’s a line that he wouldn’t cross. And so, yeah, I think it’s just going to get worse and worse."

On Friday, MSNBC was eager to exploit the coronavirus to bash cable competitor Fox News, accusing the rival network of spreading “misinformation” about the disease and even endangering the lives of its viewers. The discussion took place on the same show that labeled the virus President Trump’s “Chernobyl” on Thursday.

On Thursday morning, while previewing an upcoming speech from former Vice President Joe Biden on coronavirus, MSNBC correspondent Mike Memoli gushed that the global pandemic and Trump administration response would “gift wrap” a political “opportunity” for the Democratic frontrunner.

Wanting a historical analogy for the response to COVID-19, the Thursday cast of MSNBC Live settled on the 1986 nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl, but instead of comparing the Soviet government's coverup to the Chinese government's coverup, the panel decided that it was President Trump that was analogous to the Soviet apparatchiks.  

On CNN, David Axelrod admits that President Obama gave an underwhelming speech on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill,  actually making matters worse. But Axelrod goes on to claim that Obama's speech was "like the Gettysburg Address" compared to President Trump's Oval Office address on the coronavirus. 

The media coverage of COVID-19 has now entered the "that's racist" phase as media personalities condemn Republicans for calling virus by names that refer to the fact that the virus originated in China. Ayman Mohyeldin was the latest to condemn this supposed racism as he guest hosted MSNBC Live on Tuesday during an interview with Illinois Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi.  

MSNBC’s Joy Reid sent out a flippant tweet in an attempt to denigrate the Trump administration’s plan to direct the Small Business Administration to provide liquidity to states and small business owners through low-interest loans to provide economic relief from the coronavirus impact. With hours like Wednesday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern, MSNBC’s Joy Reid will have the hour long held by Chris Matthews sealed up. Engaging in irresponsible behavior, lying to viewers, and a parade of guests serving as clapping seals, Reid did nothing to responsibly inform the public about the coronavirus and instead fear-monger thanks to her hatred for President Trump and Fox News.

Predictably, MSNBC reacted to President Donald Trump’s Wednesday night address on the coronavirus with scorn, venom, vitriol, and downright fear that the Trump administration isn’t looking out for the safety of the American public. In various points throughout the first segment, the speech was panned as a “distraction,” “strange,” “weird,” “worrying,” and mocked as poorly delivered.
