Throughout the current pandemic the media has tried to blame President Trump's alleged slowness and incompetence for the deaths suffered as a result from the virus. On Thursday's Andrea Mitchell Reports, MSNBC contributor Dr. Vin Gupta took it one step further when he alleged Trump is endangering people thousands of miles away in Brazil. 

On Wednesday afternoon, MSNBC anchor Katy Tur touted the “drop in pollution”as a “positive consequence of the pandemic” that has killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world and left tens of millions unemployed. Talking to Penn State University professor and climate activist Michael Mann, she hoped Americans would seize on this “unique” “opportunity” to “change our habits.”

Just three weeks after MSNBC analyst Dr. Irwin Redlener compared President Trump to mass suicide-leading cult leader Jim Jones, he appeared on MSNBC Live and picked up where he left off. This time, Redlener, the Director of Columbia University’s National Center for Disaster Preparedness, described the President as a “personal public health hazard to the citizens of this country.”

Pam Key at Breitbart noted that MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill toed the usual line of the Media-Democrat Complex on Wednesday’s Morning Joe, claiming that Barack Obama’s administration did not have even “a hint of corruption during eight years.”

MSNBC Live host Stephanie Ruhle became the latest media personality on Tuesday to express hope that the current pandemic might present an opportunity to enact left-wing policies. Speaking with Bernie Sanders, Ruhle asked, "Then is there -- maybe I sound romantic, but is there an opportunity to create at a time like this a better, smarter, more inclusive capitalism?"

On her MSNBC show, Nicolle Wallace tees up Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell by asking him what could be done to prevent the Trump administration from firing inspectors general. Replies Swalwell: "We have to have an ankle monitor on this president. This is the worst possible time for a serial offender like him to be running around unsupervised."

On Tuesday's All In show, MSNBC contributor and disgruntled former Republican Steve Schmidt was full of hyperbole as he decried Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham and Jeanine Pirro as "spectacularly nuts," and incorrectly claimed that one is more likely to die of coronavirus in the U.S. than in any other country. 

Keir Simmons joined Andrea Mitchell on her Tuesday MSNBC show to report on the latest developments surrounding the World Health Organization, President Trump, and China. During which, he argued that the to the rest of the world it appears that the United States is "just criticizing," while China is "making proposals" to the consternation of U.S. allies.
