Apparently, lies and smears are okay, so long as they are directed at the right people. On Thursday, far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dripped venom as she accused Ted Cruz of “almost having me murdered” and “trying to get me killed.” But for Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzeziniski, this was a “fair response” from the Congresswoman.

On Tuesday's Morning Joe, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough in effect accused Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) of murder. In a Trump-pleasing move, Hawley objected to the certification of Biden's Electoral College victory, which was then smeared into Hawley crying for deadly "sedition". Then Joe cracked: "He's got the bone structure of a bird. And he's holding up those little bird hands."

Is it ethical for one network to try to scare off a competitor's sponsors? The question arises because on MSNBC's Morning Joe today, Joe Scarborough sought to scare off Fox News sponsors.

Morning Joe is thrilled by Politico's hiring of the openly-liberal Sam Stein to head its coverage of the Biden White House. Joe Scarborough, far from questioning Stein's impartiality in his new job, was "really excited" about the move, adding that Politico is "really humming" now that Stein is aboard.
