Evening News Spent Hour on Porter; Ignored Congressional Dem Abusers
It has been a week since the disturbing allegations came to light that Rob Porter, a now-former White House staffer close to the President, had a history of domestic abuse against his two ex-wives. And during that time, the evening newscasts of the major network news outlets (ABC, CBS, and NBC) had dedicated almost a combined hour to the story. But when it came to similar accusations against…

CBS Pesters Tom Cotton on His Bill to Secure Border: Just Compromise!
CBS This Morning journalists on Tuesday pestered Tom Cotton, wondering why the Republican Senator wasn’t offering up an immigration bill more to their liking. Co-host John Dickerson talked to the conservative and noted that his proposed bill “calls for $25 billion for a wall and border security, limits to family-based immigration, and an end to the diversity visa lottery program.”

Nets Omit Criminal Actions of Suspect Shot by Police
Over the weekend, ABC, CBS and CNN all hyped the case of a lawsuit filed against a Tennessee police department after body cam audio revealed White County Sheriff Odie Shoupe suggesting that he gave orders to shoot and kill a suspect during a police chase partly to avoid damaging his police cars. In recalling the story, reporters made it sound like the driver, Michael Dial, had done little more…

NBC Downplays Purpose of NoKo Cheer Squad, CBS Points Out Dark Truth
After NBC took to Twitter over the weekend to tout how it was “so satisfying to watch” the North Korean cheerleading squad (before deleting it), Monday’s NBC Nightly News danced around and largely voided the reason the squad was there and what their actual purpose was. In contrast, CBS Evening News highlighted the outrage against the group and the dark reason they were performing.
ABC, NBC Ignore Conservative Criticisms of Adding Billions to Deficit
ABC and NBC couldn’t find time on their February 11 Sunday political shows to mention conservative criticism of a budget deal that adds roughly $300 billion to the deficit, bringing the deficit total to over a trillion dollars. Conservative lawmakers have expressed concern that this deal goes against a fiscally conservative platform that the President and many in Congress campaigned on.

Last Week, CBS Says Don’t Politicize Illegals; Now, It’s Heartbreak
Last week, CBS This Morning journalists warned not to politicize the story of a drunk illegal alien who killed Indianapolis Colts player Edwin Jackson. That instruction apparently no longer applies as the network on Monday focused on an illegal hiding in a Phoenix church, trying to stay with his pregnant wife and five-year-old son who has cancer. Talk about story selection.

NBC Ignores, MSNBC Barely Touches NFL Player Killed by Illegal
After news broke that Indianapolis Colts player Edwin Jackson was killed by a twice deported illegal immigrant who was driving drunk, it was not shocking that the far-left news network MSNBC would be reluctant to give much attention to the story since it might bolster President Donald Trump's push for greater border security and deportation of illegals. As it turns out, an examination of all…

Shameless: CBS Reporter Asks About Omarosa on CBS's ‘Big Brother’
During Thursday’s tumultuous White House press briefing, the most important topic was the resignation of staff secretary Rob Porter following serious allegations of spousal abuse and the Trump administration’s confounding response. Other topics included government funding, North Korea, and the Olympic games, but the first non-Porter question was CBS correspondent Paula Reid shamelessly asking…
Super Bowl Themed Stories Get Nearly 5X the Coverage of January Jobs
Business
Two nights before the Philadelphia Eagles took home its first Super Bowl trophy, the networks were far more focused on stories related to the big game than to one measure of the U.S. economy. So pre-game stories still outranked the strong jobs report nearly 5-to-1.

NBC, ABC Fear Military Parade Will Make U.S. Look ‘Authoritarian’
On Wednesday morning, NBC’s Today show and ABC’s Good Morning America recited identical liberal talking points as both broadcasts warned viewers that the U.S. was on the verge of looking like world’s worst “authoritarian regimes” if the Pentagon followed through on President Trump’s desire to hold a military parade in the nation’s capital.

Refugees Framed for Terrorism By White Politician on NCIS: New Orleans
Culture
NCIS: New Orleans is one of the rare shows I’ve seen that seems to capture real life pretty accurately, at least for this New Orleans native. Sadly, as a Hollywood show, it seems duty-bound to push the liberal narrative on some angle. This time, it includes the total acceptance of refugees.
Nets Spend 2x More Airtime on Dow Drop Than Market Rebound
When the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down nearly 1,200 points on Monday, the three major network news outlets (ABC, CBS, and NBC) dedicated nearly 10 minutes of combined coverage to the drop when they began their evening broadcasts. 24 hours later, the market bounced back and closed with a 500-point rebound, but the networks spent roughly half as much time on the positive news.
CBS Finally Covers NFL Star Killed By Illegal, Says Don’t ‘Politicize'
CBS on Tuesday finally covered the tragic story of the Indianapolis Colts player who was killed in a car crash over the weekend after a drunk, illegal alien crashed into him. Yet, This Morning reporter David Begnaud cautioned against “politicizing” the death. NBC is still ignoring the death.
Networks Censored 75 Percent of Dow Record Highs Since Start of 2017
Business
While the early February market pullback has spooked some investors and already gained plenty of media attention, it illustrated all too well the broadcast networks’ tendency to cover bad economic news more than good. The networks skipped the vast majority of records as the market climbed throughout 2017 and the beginning of 2018.
