CBS’s Blue Bloods is usually known for being friendly to our police heroes. But in Friday’s episode, “Legacy,” the show suddenly took a PC turn as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) went completely out of character by sympathizing with an illegal immigrant over one of his officers to the point of firing her even though she did everything “by the book.”

With the start of March, a family-oriented series teaching moral lessons never seen in most TV shows and a spinoff of an envelope-pushing lefty TV series highlight this new installment of winners and losers in the television industry. 

Only a couple days after hailing the President for siding with Democrats on gun restrictions, on Friday morning, the broadcast networks feared that Trump may be taking an “about face” on the issue after a “secret” “late-night meeting” with officials from the National Rifle Association. The disappointment of the liberal media was palpable as anchors and correspondents bemoaned the development.

In the March 1 episode of CBS’s S.W.A.T. titled “Fences,” Hondo and the team find themselves in the middle of the immigration debate in Los Angeles. Given the hot-button issue of DACA, naturally, a DREAMer was spotlighted along the way.

In an attempt to excuse Oakland, California Mayor Libby Schaaf’s outrageous decision to help criminal aliens evade federal authorities, CBS and NBC portrayed the Democrat’s unlawful action as the result of a “feud” with the Trump administration over immigration policy. At least those two networks covered the story, unlike ABC, which has failed to discover the controversy.

Apparently, CBS’s idea of fairness is to allow a journalist who is on record calling for the destruction of the Second Amendment to moderate a segment on guns.  On Thursday's This Morning, Alex Wagner grilled moderate Republican Senator Jeff Flake on what it will take to “break the spell” of the National Rifle Association. 

After all three network evening newscasts Wednesday night praised President Trump for repeatedly siding with Democrats on gun control measures during a White House meeting earlier in the day, on Thursday, CBS This Morning and ABC’s Good Morning America gushed over anti-gun Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein “cheering” the President on during the gathering.

The liberal media were jubilant when news broke Wednesday morning that Dick’s Sporting Goods planned to stop selling AR-15’s at all their stores and would impose age restrictions on those looking to purchase a weapon. In a nationally televised negotiation with Republican and Democratic leaders at the White House Wednesday, President Trump appeared to back many liberal gun control proposals much to the delight of the liberal media. During their evening broadcasts ABC, CBS, and NBC touted how the President “stood up to the National Rifle Association” and pushed back against Republicans.

During Tuesday’s CBS Evening News, the network paid homage to their legendary broadcaster and former anchor Walter Cronkite on the 50-year anniversary of his liberal anti-war efforts during the Vietnam War. It was a celebration of the abandonment of journalistic objectivity and the rise of activist reporters no longer reporting the news but shaping it.

Given how strongly journalists have used the Parkland shooting to promote gun control, it’s surprising to see a simple realization of how the current debate sounds to half the country. That observation occurred on Tuesday’s CBS This Morning as co-host John Dickerson mentioned his own relatives. 

The upcoming season of CBS’s The Good Fight will feature an episode on impeaching Trump. So, naturally, the drama got some pre-hype on Tuesday’s CBS This Morning. Co-host Gayle King marveled, “You talk about white supremacy, referring to the President of the United States. You talk about racial injustice.” She cheered, “It really pushes the envelope.”
