On Monday, the network morning shows collectively wrung their hands over the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, with NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America completely ignoring the fact that Bureau’s own Office of Professional Responsibility recommended the dismissal. CBS This Morning included that information in its coverage, but still blasted the decision as “vindictive.” 

CBS’s Madam Secretary would like to interrupt its usual liberal pandering for ... even more liberal pandering. While this season has hammered down on refugees, government employees, and even removing the president from office, now the show is super serious on the subject of a new character’s sexuality.

On Friday night, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News showed zero interest in informing viewers about a new but sad twist involving the death of Kate Steinle as the illegal immigrant who was acquitted last year of her murder filed a lawsuit against the federal government. This week, Hillary Clinton went on a bitter rant about why she lost the 2016 election, blaming “backward”- looking Americans who don’t like “black people getting rights.” It was another cringe-inducing example of the Democrat finding fault in everyone else. But, as Tim Graham noted on Thursday, most journalistic outlets have covered up the story. (Perhaps to save Clinton from the embarrassment.) 

On Thursday, NBC’s Today stayed silent on the potential firing of Andrew McCabe and the allegations that he misled investigators delving into Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal. ABC’s Good Morning America also ignored the story. This is despite a combined six hours of air time.

Wednesday was marked by the mass exodus of students from reportedly over 3,500 schools who cut class and took to the streets for gun control. Professor Stephen Hawking passed away overnight and CBS on Wednesday felt the need to connect Al Gore to the science icon. CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King linked, “The tributes are pouring in this morning to legendary scientist Stephen Hawking who died overnight at the age of 76. One internet pioneer, that’s also known as Al Gore, said Hawking had ‘a colossal mind and wonderful spirit.’”

Despite getting off to a rough start and having a flawed concept to begin with, CBS’s new comedy Living Biblically did something very few shows from Hollywood would dare to do - they admitted to the humanity of living, unborn children. Main character Chip (Jay R. Ferguson) speaks to his baby through his pregnant wife’s belly and rightfully calls him or her a “person.”

On Monday, the House Intelligence Committee closed its inquiry into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, much to the chagrin of the liberal media. The committee confirmed that the Russians were indeed trying to cause chaos in the election, claimed they weren’t out to help candidate Donald Trump specifically and that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
