The liberal media had a meltdown over Paramount putting an ombudsman, or “watchdog,” in place after President Trump’s $16 million settlement in his lawsuit over CBS’s 60 Minutes Kamala Harris interview edit. MSNBC showcased its bias on Tuesday’s Morning Joe when journalists rallied together over the outrage of CBS agreeing to monitor its bias and claimed that decision was “un-American.”  

Former anchor of NBC’s Meet the Press, Chuck Todd, recorded his Monday podcast from Crazy Town as he alleged that the FCC’s role in the Paramount-Skydance merger now means CBS is “state TV” because one of the conditions was that the Paramount property would hire a bias monitor.

The Trump administration recently put out a memo that says that federal employees should be allowed to talk about their religion at work, so naturally CBS’s outgoing host of The Late Show, “devout Catholic” Stephen Colbert, mocked the idea as provocative and even had a fake argument with keyboardist Corey Bernhard about whether to serve Moloch.

Late Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced it had “approved Skydance’s $8 billion acquisition of Paramount Global and its subsidiaries, including the ultimate parent company of the CBS network of owned and operated broadcast television stations, by granting a series of applications that transfer FCC licenses and authorizations.”

CBS canceled Stephen Colbert’s late-night show. Democrat Minnesota Gov. and failed vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz, who recently appeared on the show, said: “Stephen Colbert is the best in the business. Skydance Media — the company seeking to purchase for $8 billion Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS — said in a letter dated Tuesday to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr that, among the changes they’d make to the company, they would hire an ombudsman to ensure “viewpoint diversity” and avoid “complaints of bias.”

MRC Free Speech America VP Dan Schneider pointed out that Americans aren’t tuning in for the partisan bias and radical beliefs pushed by the legacy media. That’s why people like Late Show host Stephen Colbert are getting squeezed out.
