Hours before President Biden’s formal announcement that he’s releasing a puny 15 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), the major broadcast networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC heralded this nonsensical effort to take oil from a collection meant for serious emergencies and use it to try and rescue Biden and his party’s chances in the midterm elections.

RIP to all the people who were sipping their coffees when watching Tuesday's CBS Mornings. They undoubtedly spit their drink everywhere when the hosts started talking about ejaculation. During Tuesdsay's “Talk of the Table” segment, host Tony Dokoupil promoted a new book that provides a “whole new way to think about abortion,” called “Ejaculate Responsibly.”

All three networks on Tuesday morning ignored the fact that Democrat Stacey Abrams is still flirting with election denialism, refusing to outright say that she would accept the results of the Georgia’s governor’s race, should she lose. Abrams debated incumbent Republican Brian Kemp on Monday night 

The midterms segment on Tuesday’s CBS Mornings descended into what’s almost certainly a tall tale as the co-host Tony Dokoupil and chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa attempted to tell viewers that liberal Congressman (and frequent guest on the long-since axed Ed Show) Tim Ryan has a real shot to triumph in the Buckeye State over Republican J.D. Vance.

Monday’s CBS Mornings closed with an eye-rolling and nauseating interview with author, CNN political analyst, theGrio White House bureau chief, and White House Briefing Room charlatan April Ryan on the heels of her new book Black Women Will Save the World: An Anthem that, according to Ryan, was the first attempt by anyone to make sure history gave credit to black women.

Good Morning America co-host George Stephanopoulos may no longer be an official paid operative of the Democratic Party, but he’s clearly still doing the same work. The former aide to Bill Clinton parroted Biden White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain’s spin that sky high inflation is actually good news for Social Security recipients. A similarly desperate attempt was made on CBS. 

Thursday on CBS Mornings, the liberal newscast gave a whopping three teases and then doled out nearly eight and a half minutes to mocking and then warning about the right’s opposition to wokeness and the term’s embedment into seemingly every aspect of American life. CBS’s disjointed conclusion? Well, the right slamming the left for going fully woke will lead to more political violence…

On Thursday morning, ABC and CBS showed what matters to them most. They combined to have spent more time on the last hearing of the House Select Committee on January 6 and the latest leaks against former President Trump than Americans struggling to make ends meet amid record-high gas prices, soaring food costs, and surging inflation.

Kudos to CBS and reporter Mark Strassmann for fairness. Strassmann, on the CBS Evening News and CBS Mornings shows was the only journalist to repeatedly note that the powerful Los Angeles politician who went on a racist rant is a Democrat. ABC barely noticed it. NBC covered the story once on Tuesday, but made no mention of party affiliation.

ABC relented on Friday morning and covered the breaking news that Joe Biden’s son Hunter may be on the verge of federal criminal charges. After ignoring the latest on Thursday night, Good Morning America allowed 172 seconds. George Stephanopoulos warned at the top of the show: “Under pressure. On Wednesday, the Associated Press dropped a bomb on the Ohio Senate race between Republican author and investor J.D. Vance and Congressman Tim Ryan (D) as reporter Julie Carr Smyth revealed Ryan has received $27,000 in donations from the very drug manufacturers found responsible for the deadly opioid epidemic that’s especially ravaged states like Ohio.

Wednesday’s CBS Mornings saw the latest installment in their foolhardy mission to save their team ahead of the 2022 midterm elections by fretting Arizonans haven’t made where candidates stand on the legitimacy of the 2020 election a top priority. In the 24 hours since the liberal Daily Beast posted an accusation that Georgia Republican senatorial candidate Herschel Walker paid for an abortion in 2009, the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening newscasts devoted almost 21 minutes to hyping the allegations.
