In a CNN scoop out Monday, Oliver Darcy and Brian Stelter reported that ABC News President James Goldston angrily tore into his staff on Monday during an editorial conference call, “and announced that [Brian] Ross, the network's chief investigative reporter, will no longer cover stories related to President Trump.”

In its desperation to avoid any discussion of a potential major legislative win for the Trump administration and congressional Republicans, Monday’s NBC Today devoted an astonishing 15 times more coverage to the morning show’s fired co-host Billy Bush attacking President Trump in a New York Times op/ed than to the GOP tax bill working its way through Congress. 

Saturday, The Washington Post and The New York Times reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller removed a top FBI investigator from the Russia probe, after it was discovered the agent had sent anti-Trump text messages. Not only that, but this same agent also led the Clinton e-mail investigation.  

Both Republicans and Democrats have faced serious allegations of sexual misconduct, but in the month of November, ABC, CBS and NBC spent twice as much time telling viewers about the Republicans’ problems. Nearly two-thirds of this coverage (4 hours, 27 minutes) focused on Republican politicians, compared to 2 hours, 6 minutes spent on the Democrats, a greater than two-to-one disparity.

Monday morning all three major broadcast networks, ABC, NBC and CBS failed to update their viewers with the news that ABC correspondent Brian Ross had been suspended over the weekend for his false “bombshell” report that led the media’s Russia reports Friday morning.

The Sunday morning shows were dominated by wild fantasies from the liberal media regarding what was to come next in the Russia investigation after Michael Flynn’s plea deal on Friday. But during an appearance on ABC’s This Week, former Attorney General for George W. Bush, Michael Mukasey, wrote off the press’s hopes as just “speculation” and “heavy breathing.”

On Friday, the CBS Evening News conspicuously did not make time to inform its viewers of the outcome of the trial of an illegal immigrant charged in the killing of San Francisco resident Kate Steinle. Although all three broadcast morning newscasts had highlighted the failure to get a murder conviction in the case, on the evening shows, CBS omitted the story while ABC's World News Tonight…

Early Saturday night, ABC suspended chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross for only four weeks without pay for the latest and most egregious error of the journalist’s career, falsely claiming on Friday that candidate Donald Trump had instructed Michael Flynn to make contact with Russian officials.

On Friday’s World News Tonight, ABC chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross issued an embarrassing correction to a bombshell scoop he offered hours earlier about former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, revealing that Flynn was told by President-elect Trump and not candidate Trump to reach out to Russian officials.

ABC’s Nightline on Thursday night did a “deep dive” into the world of “ultra-conservative,” “far-right” mobs in Europe and connected Donald Trump to the continent’s “history of hate.” Reporter James Longman seemed to go out of his way to say “far-right” as much as possible and blur the line between regular conservatives and bigots.

UPDATE, 8:08 p.m. Eastern: Turns out, ABC shouldn’t have gotten too excited about their massive report. Ross eventually had to recant part of this story under the pathetic guise of a “clarification” that Flynn was ordered by Trump as President-elect (and not a candidate) to speak with Russians.

While the pressure mounted on Democratic harassers Representative John Conyers and Senator Al Franken to resign, more details broke on Thursday of the Congressional slush fund used to pay off such victims.
