The Regime Media are up in arms and in high dudgeon after President Elect Donald Trump sent a Saturday shockwave by choosing former Department of Defense Chief of Staff Kash Patel as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The Patel pick has been met with all manner of hand wringing on the Regime’s Sunday shows.

The Daily Show might have the week off, but correspondent and rotating host Ronny Chieng found himself on ABC’s Tuesday taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! recalling Election Night, which he compared to watching a slow-motion car crash. Likewise, he longed for a conservativism that is not populated with “[bleep] morons.”

Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan made a visit to the Texas part of the U.S. southern border. Under normal circumstances, this would warrant across-the-board coverage from the “mainstream media”, given how much of a departure Homan's visit is from border enforcement. But the CBS Evening News found zero time for the new Border Czar.

On Friday, ABC, CBS, and NBC used their flagship morning news shows to pivot away from former Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) withdrawing from the nomination fight to lead President Trump’s Justice Department towards deriding the new pick Pam Bondi as merely a “Trump loyalist,” foreign lobbyist, and former Florida Attorney General whose “tenure [was] not without controversy.”
