AP Underinforms, Delays in Covering Venezuela's Rule-by-Decree Impasse
When the Associated Press issues a brief unbylined report on an obviously important matter, one's first instinct should always be to ask: "What are they deciding not to tell us?"
More often than not, the answer is "Plenty." An example justifying the need to look further appeared this morning when the wire service published a five-paragraph report on inflation in Venezuela's economy:

Dollars for Hostages, Negotiating with Terrorist Iranian Regime
Every American should be glad that American hostages have been freed by the tyrannical Iranian regime and are being reunited with family, friends and co-workers. Less satisfying is the return of Iran's $400 million trust fund, used to buy military equipment, which was frozen in 1979, along with its diplomatic relations with the U.S. (plus what President Obama ludicrously called "appropriate…

National Review Takes a Unanimous Beating on Fox's 'Outnumbered'
National Review was clearly outnumbered on the Fox News show Outnumbered today. The entire panel lit into NR for daring to assemble a symposium titled “Against Trump.” The Fox panel was unanimous that this was “offensive,” would have “zippo” effect, and only underlined that conservatives in “tassel loafers and bow ties” are “defunct” and “worthless.”
They professed their “love” for NR editor…

Behar to Sanders: Stop Calling Yourself a Socialist! You’re a Liberal!
Joy Behar, who has previously said she is “aroused” by the “hot” Bernie Sanders, on Friday advised the self-admitted socialist to stop calling himself a socialist. During a discussion of the Democratic primary on The View, Behar complained, “He calls himself a socialist. He’s just a liberal. He’s a liberal. He's as liberal as Obama.” (Whether that said more about Sanders or Obama, Behar didn’t…

Economist Mag: 'Hardline' Haley, 'Xenophobic' GOP vs 'Admirable' Obama
The Economist magazine often provides valuable windows into world events. But when it comes to American politics, its reach exceeds its grasp, succumbing to the worst, self-satisfied Euro-cliches: A knuckle-dragging, ultra-conservative Republican Party vengefully attacking thoughtful, intellectual Democrats like Barack Obama. The two standards were on stark display in the January 16/22 issue,…

Soros-Funded Alarmist: Blizzards 'Don't Disprove Global Warming'
Once again, climate change fearmongers are at the mercy of the weather, eagerly shoveling alarmism into the news cycle surrounding a potentially “historic” East Coast blizzard.

MSNBC’s Hayes Links Blizzard Effects to ‘Climate Change’
MSNBC All In with Chris Hayes’s host is all in ... for climate alarmism.
As Washington D.C. and Baltimore raced to prepare for a potentially “historic” blizzard set to lash the East Coast Hayes insisted effects of the storm were connected to “climate change.”

CNN Guest: Hillary 'Victim of Own Success' While Host Spins for Bill
As Friday's CNN Newsroom with Carol Costello devoted a segment to discussing the reasons so many young women are siding with Bernie Sanders in the Democratic presidential race instead of Hillary Clinton, Daily Beast columnist Keli Goff oddly claimed that Hillary Clinton has been a "victim of her own success" as she theorized that there is less hunger for electing a woman President because it has…

UPDATED: Twitter 'Top News' Story for #Roe43 Skews Left
With today being the 43rd anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, #Roe43 is a trending topic on Twitter. When I clicked the hashtag to see the trending-topic page, I noticed that the "top news" item for the category was a study finding 95 percent of women do NOT regret having their abortion. But clicking the link takes you to a Reuters story that is six months old.

NY Times, 8 Months Late: Hillary's Speaking Fees 'Almost Obscene'
It would appear that the New York Times and MSNBC, in focusing on Hillary Clinton's speaking fees, are, after many months of serving as virtual Clinton campaign mouthpieces, beginning to hedge their bets in the race for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. This information has been available since last spring, but only now is it being seen as geuinely troubling. Why wasn't seen as a big…

CBS Ignores March for Life; Still Hits ‘Anti-Abortion' Fiorina
On Friday, not only did CBS This Morning skip any coverage of the annual March for Life in Washington D.C., the morning show actually attacked one of the event’s keynote speakers, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, for her “anti-abortion” views. In a news brief at the top of the 7:30 a.m. ET hour, co-host Norah O’Donnell touted: “Our Des Moines affiliate, KCCI, reports on…

The Establishment's Irrational Fear of Ted Cruz
Some time ago I said that many establishment Republicans dislike Ted Cruz so much that they would even back their nemesis, Donald Trump, if necessary to keep Cruz from winning. This is one time I wish I had been wrong.

Girl Power? Clinton Needs Singer Lovato to Court Young Iowa Women
Hillary Clinton, former co-president, former carpet-bagging New York senator, former Cubs fan-turned-Yankees fan, former jet-setting Secretary of State, she of the gazillion-dollar book deals and multi-gazillion-dollar influence peddling concern … er, philanthropic foundation, the most powerful womanly woman in the world, should be the prohibitive frontrunner for Empress of Everything.

Brzezinski Frets Daughter is a 'Selfish' 'Money Grubbing' Republican
On Friday’s edition of Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski shared her shock when found out she might be raising a young republican, but her evidence is a little suspect. “I noticed this when my daughter was twelve she started to become selfish and money grubbing… And I said, “oh my gosh, I got a Republican in the family.””
