MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews continued on Monday to allow his legitimate concerns about foreign interventionism to cloud his judgment, whining without evidence that President Trump has taken such a firm stand against the failed Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro to curry favor with Floridians (presumably Hispanic voters) and Republicans to secure reelection.

On Tuesday, NBC’s Today show provided Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg with a friendly national media platform to promote his “history-making candidacy.” While fawning over the 37-year-old openly gay mayor of South Bend, Indiana, co-host Craig Melvin focused on campaign strategy rather than his left-wing views.      

There are parody accounts and satire accounts on Twitter for almost every politician, red or blue. But not for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Twitter removed a parody account (that clearly stated multiple times on the account page that it was a parody) for “creating fake and misleading accounts.” The account owner, Michael Morrison, was also “permanently suspended.”

CBS This Morning on Tuesday actually covered the heartbeat bill working its way through Georgia’s state house, deeming it a “controversial” and “restrictive” attempt at stopping abortion. This same network offered no coverage when New York state legalized late-term abortion (and certainly didn’t find the bill “controversial.”)

MSNBC’s married morning hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were on ABC’s The View today to plug Mika’s new book and talk politics. The most mind-numbing part came when anti-Trump Scarborough, a former congressman who left the Republican party, gave advice to Republicans, as if he were still one of them.

In a softball interview with Jill Biden Tuesday morning, wife of former Vice President and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden, NBC’s Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie worried if President Trump was a “threat to the very essence of this country.” The anchor also fretted that Biden’s husband would be the victim of “nasty” attacks and invited her to label Trump a “bully.”

NYT columnist Paul Krugman just can’t get one right these days. After blasting rural America as a bunch of backward racists, the bitter economist recently took to Twitter to voice his displeasure that President Trump awarded Tiger Woods with the Medal of Freedom, cheapening the honor by insinuating the Woods is a lame choice compared to all the important people receiving the honor before him.
