NBC Boosts Buttigieg With Softball Chat on ‘History-Making Run’

On Tuesday, NBC’s Today show provided Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg with a friendly national media platform to promote his “history-making candidacy.” While fawning over the 37-year-old openly gay mayor of South Bend, Indiana, co-host Craig Melvin focused on campaign strategy rather than his left-wing views.

Twitter Silent on AOC Parody Account’s ‘Permanent Suspension’

There are parody accounts and satire accounts on Twitter for almost every politician, red or blue. But not for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Twitter removed a parody account (that clearly stated multiple times on the account page that it was a parody) for “creating fake and misleading accounts.” The account owner, Michael Morrison, was also “permanently suspended.”

CBS Warns of ‘Controversial,’ ‘Restrictive’ Georgia Heartbeat Bill

CBS This Morning on Tuesday actually covered the heartbeat bill working its way through Georgia’s state house, deeming it a “controversial” and “restrictive” attempt at stopping abortion. This same network offered no coverage when New York state legalized late-term abortion (and certainly didn’t find the bill “controversial.”)

NYT Hails Low-Poll Gillibrand, Laments ‘Misogyny Clinton Faced' in '16

On the front page of Monday’s New York Times, political reporters Astead Herndon and Lisa Lerer were given room to celebrate Democratic female candidates under the pseudo-clever headline: “Women Who Won Are Asked if They Can Win.” (Why are they trailing so badly in the polls then?) The text box on the jump page: “The misogyny Clinton faced in 2016 resurfaces for 2020.” (So that’s why they’re…

TV News Gives Joe Biden's Candidacy a Big Boost in April

A new Hill/HarrisX poll finds former Vice President Joe Biden taking a huge 32 point lead over his competitors in the 2020 Democratic primary race. One potential reason: television news coverage that once was shared among many of the candidates is now focused almost solely on Biden. Despite the presence of more than 20 announced candidates, Biden was rewarded with by far the lion’s share of the…

Ex-Republican Scarborough Gives Unwanted Advice to GOP on The View

MSNBC’s married morning hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were on ABC’s The View today to plug Mika’s new book and talk politics. The most mind-numbing part came when anti-Trump Scarborough, a former congressman who left the Republican party, gave advice to Republicans, as if he were still one of them.

NBC’s Guthrie to Biden: Is Trump ‘Threat to Very Essence' of U.S.?

In a softball interview with Jill Biden Tuesday morning, wife of former Vice President and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden, NBC’s Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie worried if President Trump was a “threat to the very essence of this country.” The anchor also fretted that Biden’s husband would be the victim of “nasty” attacks and invited her to label Trump a “bully.”

Paul Krugman Gets Schooled For Knocking Tiger Woods' Medal of Freedom

NYT columnist Paul Krugman just can’t get one right these days. After blasting rural America as a bunch of backward racists, the bitter economist recently took to Twitter to voice his displeasure that President Trump awarded Tiger Woods with the Medal of Freedom, cheapening the honor by insinuating the Woods is a lame choice compared to all the important people receiving the honor before him.

CBS’s Softball to Mrs. Biden: How Did Those Women ‘Misinterpret’ Joe?

Gayle King, the soon to be incumbent host and power broker at CBS This Morning has a soft spot for the Bidens. Talking to Jill Biden, King on Tuesday wondered just how all those women accusing the 2020 candidate have “misinterpreted” his unwanted touching. Though there were a few questions that could be described as non-softballs, the majority focused on strategy and how the Democrat will…

Loomer Crashes Facebook HQ, Exposes Anti-Christian/Jewish Bias

Recently deplatformed activist Laura Loomer showed up to Facebook’s lobby, skewering the company for showing solidarity for everybody but Jewish and Christian people. A poster, possibly handmade by a local worker, hangs in the lobby right next to the entrance. It says “Take care of Muslim, Black, Women + Femmes, Queer, Latinx, Native, Immigrant, P.O.C, Trans, Disabled, Incarcerated, L.G.B.T.Q.+…

Scarborough: ‘History Has Chosen’ Democrats to ‘Defend Rule of Law’

On Tuesday’s Morning Joe, co-host Joe Scarborough laughably claimed that “history has chosen” the Democratic Party to “defend the rule of law.” The same Democratic Party that excused Bill Clinton’s perjury in the 1990s and dismissed Hillary Clinton’s email scandal in 2016.

MSNBC's Glaude: Dems Must 'Uphold Their Oath' and Impeach Trump

Appearing on Meet the Press Sunday, Princeton University professor and frequent MSNBC guest Eddie Glaude urged Congressional Democrats to “uphold their Constitutional responsibility,” clearly implying that he was talking about starting impeachment hearings. In addition, Glaude resurrected some conspiracy theories about Republicans only winning competitive elections last year by resorting to…

CNN Spills 2000 Words Warning Over Obsessing Over Royal Baby's Race

“It's already happened,” writes CNN’s John Blake. “People are obsessed over the appearance and racial identity of the new royal baby. That's going to go into overdrive now.” They are? It is? Well Blake certainly is, spinning out a long article speculating about the race and looks of an infant in another country he likely will never meet.
