The network morning shows on Thursday were beside themselves with glee over the White House announcing President Obama would travel to Cuba in March. While all three broadcasts hailed the upcoming “historic trip,” it was ABC’s Good Morning America that went the extra mile by proclaiming the President was more popular than singer Beyonce on the island nation.  

Both CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today on Thursday devoted lengthy segments to fretting over Hillary Clinton’s failure to gain support among young female voters. Hosts on the two network morning shows wrung their hands while discussing how Clinton was “trounced” in New Hampshire by Bernie Sanders due to her “surprising struggle” to win over women.

All three network morning shows on Friday celebrated Hillary Clinton’s Thursday night debate performance as if she was a champion prize fighter. On NBC’s Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie proclaimed: “Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders faced off in their most contentious debate yet. Clinton accusing Sanders of running a, quote, ‘artful smear,’ against her.”

On Wednesday, the hosts of CBS This Morning seemed to do Hillary Clinton’s bidding as they used her campaign attack lines to interrogate Senator Bernie Sanders on whether he was a “viable” candidate against the former secretary of state.

ABC, CBS, and NBC's morning newscasts on Tuesday all reported on a Texas grand jury's indictment of David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the pro-life Center for Medical Progress on the felony charge of tampering with a government record. CBS This Morning journalists on Monday uncritically promoted Bernie Sanders’s plan to make college “free” and that his contention that such an idea isn’t “radical.” The segment allowed no contrasting voices. On Friday, not only did CBS This Morning skip any coverage of the annual March for Life in Washington D.C., the morning show actually attacked one of the event’s keynote speakers, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, for her “anti-abortion” views.
