CBS This Morning deserves credit for having Marco Rubio on the program to discuss a conservative proposal, his alternative for paid family leave. The other two networks on Thursday, ABC and NBC, couldn’t be bothered to talk about his legislation. However, CBS’s hosts complained about the idea of allowing Americans to borrow from their Social Security in order for paid time off with a new child.

The coverage demonstrated how even the thought of Donald Trump naming the liberal justice’s replacement strikes terror into the hearts of reporters.

Sulzberger, the liberal newspaper released a lengthy statement Sunday afternoon in which Sulzberger explained that he confronted Trump over his “deeply troubling anti-press rhetoric” that he warned will cause journalists to be physically harmed.

On Wednesday, network morning show coverage of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh dropped off significantly, with combined air time of less than two minutes. However, the ABC, NBC, and CBS broadcasts still managed to use that brief amount of reporting to tout Democrats “launching all-out war” against the federal judge.
