On Friday, NBC’s Today invited on Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to attack the Trump administration over investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and even teed her up to push baseless conspiracy theories suggesting the President was being blackmailed by Russia.

Once again, MSNBC prominently featured former Obama administration official Jeremy Bash as a nonpartisan intelligence analyst with an appearance on Wednesday’s The 11th Hour. Host Brian Williams swooned over Bash as an “institutionalist” while Bash warned that the Trump-Russia story “is a huge crisis” threatening “our Madisonian system of checks and balances.”

Acting as though he’s a bystander in a superhero movie or watching one on TV, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews swooned on Wednesday that, with Senators Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Mark Warner (D-Va.), he may have found some “heroes” that would investigate and/or prove collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign.

In a clear effort to discredit President Donald Trump and keep Hillary Clinton clean, CBS Anchor Scott Pelley dismissed claims that the Clinton family received payments from Russia for American Uranium. “Well, today, President Trump sewed confusion on the Russian investigation. Pot, meet kettle. On Tuesday’s 11th Hour, MSNBC’s serial liar Brian Williams complained that President Donald Trump was “diminish[ing] our institutions” by touting Fox News and turning attention away from the litany of Russia investigations. As if he and the media aren’t in control of the news agenda, he also bemoaned the lack of coverage on Trump’s environmental policies. 

The Americans, which will have a new episode tonight (Tuesday) on FX, last Tuesday delivered something you rarely get anywhere on television: A “teaching moment” which highlighted the failure of policies liberals advance. Namely, the failure of socialistic/central control economic policies as the episode panned by near-barren shelves in a dingy Soviet-era Moscow grocery story.
