As NewsBusters reported yesterday, ABC was in full panic mode after White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders announced that President Trump was seeking to revoke security clearances of top former Obama officials. Instead of noting that distinction, however, ABC instead decided to call the handful of former Obama officials “some of Trump’s fiercest critics on his approach to Russia.”

Move over Hitler, Pol Pot, or Genghis Khan, to name just a few prime contenders for the title. Following President Trump’s latest meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, anchor Adriana Yañez of Estrella TV opened her network’s national evening news by telling viewers that it is President Trump who is “the worst ruler in history.”

Apparently sharing your wacky conspiracy theories is what counts for as news these days on MSNBC. Ardently Anti-Trump late night host Stephen Colbert invited CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Bravo’s Andy Cohen on The Late Show July 18, to gush about how great Cooper’s outburst against the president on-air Monday was after Trump’s remarks in Helsinki.  

On MSNBC’s All In Tuesday night, and then again on CNN’s New Day Wednesday morning, Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut repeated his claims that the current moment is comparable to 9/11. Each time, the hosts failed to ask him to clarify or add nuance to his extreme statement.
