CBS found a culprit for rising incidents of anti-Asian hate in America: Donald Trump. Connecting an unhinged rant by a tech CEO in California against a family, as well as violence across the country, reporter Elaine Quijano suggested that Trump highlighting the coronavirus’s origin may have something to do with spreading bigotry.

On Morning Joe, commenting on de Blasio painting "Black Lives Matter" on Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Tower, Willie Geist says to Al Sharpton, "Rev, guys like you and I can't necessarily shop on 5th Avenue. We just look into the windows and hope someday we can."

The media's deliberate misinterpretation of President Trump's Mount Rushmore speech as part of a pro-Confederate culture war continued on Monday's MSNBC Live as the Washington Post's Philip Rucker cited unnamed Republicans who fear that Trump is planting the party "on the wrong side of history."

On MSNBC, Brian Williams, after claiming that the government always mentions co-morbidities when discussing COVID-19 deaths among black Americans, wonders: "am I alone in hearing at least a whiff of victim-shaming?"
