Race Issues

On Friday afternoon, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell displayed a classic example of journalists reacting negatively to a development that goes in favor of conservatives as a "setback" or an action that "doesn't bode well," sympathizing with the liberal point of view.

The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse has not gone the way many in the media expected it to go and, on Friday, weekday afternoon CNN Newsroom host Ana Cabrera and legal analyst Areva Martin had a theory as to why: Judge Bruce Schroeder. In a tiresome fashion, the duo tossed several pejoratives Schroeder's way on Friday including "controversial," "bigoted," and "drama king."

Welcome to TV’s Worst of the Week, where MRC Culture's on TV Blog recounts the top liberal bias moments in entertainment television for the week of November 7, 2021.

Continuing to pinch hit for boss Tim Graham, Nick Fondacaro and I had a jam-packed show as we dove into the latest lunacy from MSNBC’s Joy Reid following a joint effort from her and a team of guests hurling more dangerous invective against anyone who opposes them, including parents wanting to remove pornographic material from schools. We also hammered the liberal media over their…

Was CNN watching the same trial the rest of America was? Apparently not, because the “Facts First” network abandoned truth for their politically convenient narrative on Friday, calling the Kyle Rittenhouse case an ultimate example of “white vigilantism.”

The broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) routinely exercise their power to raise local stories to national attention when they decide it helps the narrative, or squash it if it doesn’t. So, obviously, Wednesday's terroristic threats from New York City’s Black Lives Matter leader Hawk Newsome were conspicuously absent Thursday evening even though he had said his group would bring “riots,” “…

Joy Behar has praised murderous communist dictators, yet she has no sympathy for a teenager who’s on trial for murder because he shot people attacking him. On today’s The View, the co-host and her peers cruelly mocked Kyle Rittenhouse’s tearful testimony that he acted in self-defense, with Behar scoffing it was the “worst acting” she’d ever seen and Ana Navarro sneering the teen would…

MSNBC anchor Jose Diaz-Balart and NBC News Now host Tom Llamas probably thought they were simply highlighting the plight of Latino servicemembers on Veterans Day, but what they ended up doing was accusing the military of racism with little to no supporting evidence.

MSNBC’s The ReidOut host Joy Reid could barely contain her hatred on Wednesday for Illinois teen Kyle Rittenhouse, complaining his Kenosha, Wisconsin murder trial was proof of “why critical race theory exists” and it’s needed in America. She also denounced him as the new George Zimmerman “using...cop speak” and currying favor with a nearly all-white jury by crying when the real “names” to…

Appearing as a guest on Sunday's CNN Newsroom with Pamela Brown, former MSNBC contributor Kurt Bardella was like a fish out of water as he appeared outside of his former safe space and was actually challenged by a conservative panel member on his typical trash talk of Republicans.

On Tuesday, Stephanie Ruhle led a disjointed  "For Facts Sake" segment on her MSNBC show that claimed Critical Race Theory is not taught in schools but that aspects of it would inevitably be discussed in the classroom. She then argued that Democrats must simultaneously dismiss Republicans claims that CRT is in schools while also embracing the radical the lesson plan.

The View host Sunny Hostin scolded Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers for criticizing the “woke” left this week. The offended left-wing host claimed the term shouldn’t be mocked because being woke was actually a virtue.

You know all the racial indoctrination we’ve been assured schools are definitely not doing? The Washington Post is worried it’s in danger of not getting done. In a Nov. 8 article, Posties Laura Meckler and Timothy Bella conjure the specter of public school kids learning the Three Rs -- and not the cool progressive ones (race, recycling and reproduction) -- in the wake of conservative…

A CNN host refused to acknowledge her guest’s evidence of Critical Race Theory in Virginia schools today, resorting to repeating, “it’s not part of the curriculum” like a broken record.
