Doing a less than admirable job trying to come off as a Democratic precinct captain, NBC’s Late Night host Seth Meyers blasted transgender bathroom laws early Wednesday as akin to Jim Crow laws creating white and black bathrooms and suggested that supporters are Disney villains like Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. 

The liberal media are all over one part of the Facebook scandal story - and ignoring another. Generally, media have covered the accusations that the social media site is censoring conservative news and sources from their trending news feed. Coincidentally, this is also the part of the Facebook story affecting the media.

PETA is at it again, getting down and dirty with its activism. In a “Behind the Leather” video, PETA showed customers shopping for leather products, only to find grisly insides. The anti-leather products stunt was an effort to raise awareness about the way exotic skin products are made in southeast Asia.

MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews is no stranger to awkward and bizarre outbursts of affection for liberals (plus the occasional fellow cable host) and so Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown (Ohio) could be added to the list as he professed his admiration during Tuesday’s live coverage of the Kentucky and Oregon primaries with a full-blown testimony and even a plea for Brown to sing.

Washington Post local columnist Petula Dvorak appears to have made it an firm habit of continually updating the life of a transgender child named Tyler for at least four years so she naturally returned to the child and his family on Tuesday to denounce the “hateful” and “mostly stupid” debate over transgender bathroom laws that they claim wasn’t started by the LGBT community. 

Historically, when our nation has transitioned from one way of life to another, there has usually been some optimism about what was to come. That was true at the time of the American Revolution and it was true as we moved from an agrarian society toward the Industrial Revolution in the mid-18th through mid-19th centuries.  

Conservative talk radio host Mark Levin opened his Monday program by excoriating the media for their proverbial leap “into the sewer” by obsessively covering the Sunday New York Times piece on Donald Trump’s treatment of women and instead ignoring revelations that there’s disturbing details being withheld from the American people about the capture of U.S. sailors by Iran in January.

Touting a soon-to-be-released documentary about scandal-ridden New York Democrat Anthony Weiner, Michael M. Grynbaum parroted in Sunday’s New York Times claims from filmmaker Elyse Steinberg that the life of their subject has been “almost Shakespearean” with his rise and fall due to his well-documented urges to trade sexually explicit text messages with women that aren’t his wife. 

In a cartoon appearing in Monday’s Louisville Courier-Journal, cartoonist Marc Murphy attacked the National Rifle Assocation (NRA) ahead of its national convention by depicting children being fatally crucified on crosses that read “2nd Amendment.” Murphy unveiled the cartoon in a tweet on Sunday morning and with a few doses of sarcasm, he welcomed the NRA to the city by telling them to “[e]njoy…

On the first Sunday morning political talk shows since the Facebook trending topics scandal broke, the major network Sunday shows and CNN's State of the Union (with NBC's Meet the Press preempted for a Barclay's Premiere League game) failed to cover or debate this reported suppression of conservative stories by the social media behemoth.
