In the first of unfortunately two shows for the week, TBS’s Full Frontal host Samantha Bee compared the substance of the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC) platform to views held by the Westboro Baptist Church and took predictable shots smearing Indiana Republican Governor Mike Pence as anti-woman and backward thinking.

After spending the previous hour on Monday smearing Pat Smith’s speech about her son’s murder in Benghazi as having “ruined” the night, an MSNBC panelist questioned why Republicans turn to “fiery, committed” African-Americans at Republican National Conventions (RNC) “to make [their] case” and another compared the Black Lives Matter movement to the Boston Tea Party. 

From the moment that Pat Smith concluded her Monday night speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) about how her son was murdered in the 2012 Benghazi terror attack, MSNBC had their marching orders to annihilate, demean, and smear Smith for her attacks on Hillary Clinton that left the assembled cast of liberals confused at the “gross accusation” that’s “ruined” the entire night.

On Sunday's Meet the Press on NBC, former Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw seemed bewildered and frustrated that race relations in the U.S. haven't improved as much as he hoped they would by now. Brokaw didn't consider his own network's significant and largely dishonest contribution to this situation during the past nearly 11 years.

It’s almost as if “Net Neutrality” is a Leftist safe word - to be uttered when the free market growing freely causes them too much discomfort. Few things demonstrate the insular Media-Government Bubble better than this:

ThinkProgress LGBT editor Zack Ford went on an anti-police, vile Twitter tirade Sunday afternoon in reaction to the deadly ambush of Baton Rouge, Louisiana police officers by touting how “it’s no surprise some are taking justice into their own hands” considering “how police haven’t been held accountable for murdering black people.”

The Memphis Commercial Appeal died as a genuine newspaper on July 12. Its journalistic pulse stopped when its editor, Louis Graham, apologized for the paper's three-word front-page headline after the July 7 race-motivated massacre of five Dallas policemen, which read: "Gunman Targeted Whites."

Predictably, some in the media sprinted to their corners minutes after news broke on Sunday that multiple Baton Rouge, Louisiana police officers had been shot dead with an MSNBC guest lashing out at “maniacs running around our country saying crazy things” concerning President Barack Obama and not individuals committing such atrocities but the guns they’re able to use to carry them out.

We are so fortunate to have expert psychoanalyst Judy Woodruff on call at PBS. (That's sarcasm, folks.) Friday evening, Woodruff, apparently because whatever evidence there is of ISIS involvement in Thursday's terrorist massacre in Nice, France is in her view insufficiently direct, speculated that "It could have been the act of one person disgruntled, upset with his life."

UPDATE, July 17: The Enquirer corrected the error by removing the related sentence and placing the following "correction" below the article's boilerplate describing the paper's three-part series — "Correction: An earlier version incorrectly stated that 220,000 were murdered last year. ABC and CBS broke into their Saturday morning programming for special reports on Donald Trump’s official unveiling of Indiana Republican Governor Mike Pence as his running mate and in the moments afterward, ABC couldn’t help but fawn over the Democratic reaction to the ticket as Clinton “surrogates are now on fire” with liberal Senator Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) going “on a Twitter tirade.”

The latest installment in leftist excuse-making when socialism fails goes into the "It would work if leaders just had the right people handling things" file. It comes in the form of a Friday morning "analysis" at the Associated Press. MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews was up early dithering away on Saturday morning minutes before Donald Trump unveiled Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate when he went off script and shocked breaking news anchor Brian Williams by insinuating that there will be violence at the Republican National Convention (RNC) like the 1968 Democratic National Convention (DNC).
