As predicted, MSNBC’s Hardball offered plenty of liberal pontificating following Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearings with host Chris Matthews and his A-Block panel calling Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh a “belligerent,” unsympathetic Jekyll and Hyde who “may...be a criminal” but remained temperamentally unfit to be on the Court.

While CBS was conceding that Brett Kavanaugh will probably make it onto the Supreme Court, ABC’s Terry Moran on Thursday fumed about how “millions of women” will feel “annihilated” if the Judge is confirmed. He also warned Kavanaugh not to rule against abortion or the high Court will lose “legitimacy.”

After Brett Kavanaugh offered a vigorous defense of his character, and Senator Lindsey Graham condemned the “despicable” attacks on the Supreme Court nominee, NBC journalist and self-described referee Chuck Todd on Thursday finally decided that the hearings were “as bad as I forced” and a “divorce.” 

Even before accuser Christine Blasey Ford finished testifying on Thursday in Washington, D.C., about sexual assault charges against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, a reporter with the Associated Press found a way to kill the time while waiting for something significant to happen. Reporter Calvin Woodward wrote an article asking AP readers: “Will the Kavanaugh-Ford Hearing Be a Where-Were-You Moment?”

In contrast to the lunacy and character assassination of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on CNN and MSNBC, CBS’s reacted to Kavanaugh’s opening statement Thursday afternoon by calling it “searing, painful and tearful opening remarks” filled with “authenticity” that made one wonder “how you ever fake that” as his life has been ruined.

Judge Brett Kavanaugh came out swinging against Senate Democrats during Thursday’s show trial at the Senate Judiciary Committee. He was angry and pulled no punches as he called out the bad faith actors trying to destroy his life. But to CNN liberals, he was acting “unhinged” and his comments were “deeply political”.

During a break in live coverage of Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, NBC anchor Megyn Kelly called out Democrats and the media for their obvious bias against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. In the midst of listening to testimony from accuser Christine Blasey Ford, she warned her colleagues against convicting Kavanaugh before hearing his defense.

After Christine Ford's testimony, Lindsey Graham described her to reporters as a "nice lady who has come forward to tell a hard story." How dare Graham insult a woman that way! Reacting to it during the subsequent panel discussion, Brian Williams archly asked MSNBC legal analyst Daniel Goldman: "when he calls her a nice lady?"

Appearing on Thursday’s CBS This Morning ahead of the Senate hearing on Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor claimed that Ford’s unsubstantiated claims were “growing stronger” and touted how there was no longer a “presumption of innocence for the man” in such cases.

During extensive pre-hearing coverage on Thursday’s Today show, co-host Hoda Kotb was already wondering if Senate Republicans would abandon Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh: “Is there a point in here where some Republicans just say, ‘You know what? This is a little too muddy. Why don’t we just go ahead and put Brett Kavanaugh over here and go with our next person in line’?”
