PolitiFact is hyper-aggressive in “fact checking” Donald Trump, with eight “checks” over the last 30 days and four of them “Pants On Fire” denunciations. On Friday, they slapped a “Mostly False” on this presidential post on Truth Social: “Promises kept: negative net migration (in the U.S.) for the first time in 50 years!”

On Thursday afternoon, MSNBC's Chris Jansing presided over a panel that fretted over video of border agents using a Penske truck to lure and arrest illegal aliens in Los Angeles, and contributor Tim Miller scoffed over right-leaning actor Dean Cain announcing plans to join ICE.

CBS correspondent Adam Yamaguchi unraveled the conspiratorial notion on Friday that President Trump has turned the network into state TV. During a report on Evening News, Yamaguchi ran an uncritical profile that featured a trio of anti-ICE activists and the ways they are trying to thwart the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Closing out another week of Democratic guests, outgoing The Late Show host Stephen Colbert welcomed California Sen. Alex Padilla to CBS on Thursday to hope that he is successful in giving legal status to illegal immigrants because President Trump’s immigration policy is defined by its purposeful “brutality and cruelty.”
