MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell and the Washington Post's Philip Rucker decided on Monday to place the blame for the current pandemic on President Trump and red states by conveniently ignoring all contrary evidence that would suggest that partisan affiliation has nothing to do with the current health crisis.

President Trump drew the ire of CBS Evening News and White House correspondent Weijia Jiang on Monday for daring to keep American spirits up, and letting them know there was “light at the end of the tunnel.” Citing unnamed “experts,” Jiang decried Trump’s optimism by claiming the country wasn’t even in the tunnel yet.

Despite arguing just days earlier that the media should continue to cover the daily White House press briefings from the Coronavirus Task Force, on Monday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski dramatically flipped her position, wailing that the events were “a complete waste of time” that “literally have no value.”

CNN host Jake Tapper concluded Sunday’s State of the Union with a self-righteous rant he thought was going to make President Trump look like he was doing nothing to combat the coronavirus. Instead, Tapper came off as foolish since many of the supposedly tough questions that had no good answers actually did have answers, ones that CNN would like to be kept hidden from their liberal viewer base.

On her MSNBC show, Joy Reid wonders whether Fox News could be liable to viewers suing the network for having misled them regarding the dangers of the coronavirus. So much for all the alarm in the liberal media about legal punishments for news organizations in the Trump era.

Kirsten Gillibrand, noted that the rates of coronavirus infections and deaths are disproportionately high among African-Americans. Replying, Gillibrand blamed it on "institutional racism," in both health care and our economy.

MSNBC host Ali Velshi once again used the current pandemic to urge the U.S. to adopt single payer health care on Saturday. Unfortunately, for Velshi and his guests, their critiques of the current system and their praises of single payer turned out to be less than accurate. His co-worker in socialism education was Mehdi Hasan of the far-left Intercept website. 

On her 9:00 a.m. ET hour show on Friday, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle kept up her network’s effort to actually blame competitor Fox News for the spread of coronavirus across the country. She and her guests repeatedly suggested that Fox was providing “misinformation” that would “put people’s lives in danger.”
