Leonardo DiCaprio Introduces ‘The 11th Hour,' AKA ‘An Inconvenient
Given the dismal failure of Al Gore’s Live Earth concerts, now seems hardly the time to be releasing “An Inconvenient Truth, Part II.”Yet, on August 17, Leonardo DiCaprio’s documentary about how man is destroying the planet, “The 11th Hour,” premieres to a society that seems to be losing interest in global warming alarmism. How delicious. The seemingly over-worked premise is described thusly (…
BBC Report on Sun and Climate Change Contradicts Its Own 2004 Story
On Thursday, Jules Crittenden wondered if American media are lazy, stupid or willfully ignorant with how they’ve been reporting events in Iraq. Given the BBC’s recent piece concerning the relationship between the sun and climate change which hysterically ignored an article it published almost three years ago with a completely diametric view, one might ask the same question of that British…
Did Live Earth’s Flop Reduce Media Interest in Global Warming
A funny thing happened a few days after Al Gore’s concerts to draw attention to global warming concluded: a significant study out of England stating that changes in the sun’s output are not responsible for climate change went almost thoroughly ignored by America’s media.A report by the BBC on Tuesday, which demonstrably challenged one of the key arguments made by anthropogenic global warming…
Stossel Responds to Kennedy's Attacks, Lists False Scares Environmenta
On Wednesday's Your World with Neil Cavuto, FNC's Cavuto hosted both ABC's John Stossel and environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to discuss Kennedy's charge, from the stage of Saturday's "Live Earth" concert in New Jersey, that the ABC anchor, as well as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, have been "lying" about global warming and are "toadies" for corporations. Stossel charged that some of…
Former Weather Channel Bigwig Debunks IPCC and Global Warming Hysteria
Joseph D’Aleo is likely not a household name. However his bona fides when it comes to meteorology are such that when he suggests that “a [small] cadre of agenda-driven scientists and statesmen” inside the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change provided a “more alarmist interpretation” of the facts concerning manmade global warming, and “the media took the most extreme of the…
ABC Bashes Bottled Water Companies, Ignores the One RFK Jr. Owns
As the Business and Media Institute reported, ABC’s “World News” on Sunday castigated people for drinking bottled water.Yet, it seems the folks at ABC weren’t aware that environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., actually owns a – wait for it! – bottled water company (h/t to NBers lumberjack and dscott). As BMI’s Jeff Poor reported Monday:“With every sip are you actually hurting the…
Buenos Aires Snow First in 89 Years, Will Media Care
As the American northeast swelters in the summer heat, it seems a metaphysical certitude that press representatives will use the occasion to increase hysteria over manmade global warming.Yet, these media minions will completely ignore extreme cold conditions and record snowstorms occurring at the same time in the southern hemisphere. For instance, last week’s freak snows in South Africa went…
