Like their fellow cable news outlets, MSNBC offered rolling coverage throughout the night Thursday into Friday due to the Nice, France terrorist attack and one such guest told breaking news anchor Brian Williams that ISIS should be known as “punks and thugs and mercenaries” instead of being associated with Islam. 

In quite the egregious chyron fail, CNN’s live coverage on Friday of the Nice, France terror attack featured an interview with one young survivor and was deemed by the CNN graphic of having been a “Trump Rampage Survivor” hinting that he had lived to tell of a rampage carried out by the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. 

News of the evening terrorist truck attack in Nice, France first appeared at the Drudge report at 5:06 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time Thursday afternoon. By 5:28, Drudge was linking to an item noting that conducting a terrorist attack with a truck is something "that jihadist propaganda has suggested for several years." On Thursday night, MSNBC’s The Last Word spent the duration of its show on the Nice, France truck terror attack and New York Times columnist Frank Bruni lamented that the “really, really volatile moment” could be used have negative connotations on both European and “French politics” in light of Brexit with “feelings of nativism, wanting to close doors.”

NBC News foreign correspondent Bill Neely interviewed Syrian President and brutal dictator Bashar Al-Assad that began airing on Wednesday night and, somehow, large portions of the hour-long special were dedicated to harping on Donald Trump’s candidacy, if his lack of foreign policy experience concerned Assad and if his Muslim ban hurt his feelings.

Tuesday's coverage at the Associated Press of the deepening humanitarian crisis in the Bolivarian socialist disaster known as Venezuela focused on the conditions in the ever-lengthening lines its citizens must endure in hopes of obtaining enough of the basics of everyday life just to survive.
