First Trump transition

From the first words out of anchor Scott Pelley on Thursday’s CBS Evening News, one had to know what kind of newscast it would be. Throughout the newscast’s A-block, every segment involved almost exclusive criticism of the Trump administration on issues ranging from the border to the media to Syrian refugees to trade agreements.

On Thursday afternoon, our friends at RedState flagged this peculiar development that ABC News refused an exchange from the David Muir-President Trump interview where Trump scolded Muir for the media’s lack of coverage of the March for Life versus the Women’s March on Washington. 

Following the lead of CNN’s Brian Stelter, Thursday’s Situation Room touted the spike of sales in the book 1984 and strongly hinted that Americans view the Trump administration as the real-life version of Big Brother portrayed in George Orwell’s classic.

One of the most frightening unknowns for the liberal media is how President Donald Trump plans to rein in the rampaging Environmental Protection Agency. The Trump administration recently banned the agency from using its social media accounts until further notice. Dan Rather, a man whose career at CBS was destroyed by a lie he couldn’t let go of, appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball where he was outraged at Kellyanne Conway’s coined term of “alternate facts.” “Well, to say it was unfortunate is, to put it mildly. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Monday battled with CNN reporter Jim Acosta, demanding that journalists just “report it straight up” when it comes to the President. CNN is the outlet that Trump blasted as “fake news” and Spicer demanded, “Some days we do do the right thing. Some days we are successful.... When we're wrong, say we're wrong. But it's not always wrong and negative.” 

CNN's David Gergen and Martha Pease gushed over the anti-Donald Trump Women's March in a Sunday op-ed for the news network's website: "It was certainly a magic moment -- hundreds of thousands of women pouring hour after hour into the Mall in Washington." Media Research Center President Brent Bozell on Monday excoriated attempts by the liberal media to destroy Donald Trump’s new administration.
