Imagine yourself as a big time editor, and somebody brings you an article with the headline, "Cold Wave in India Attributed to Global Warming." Wouldn't you strongly suggest a rewrite?Well, no such sanity occurred at the Indian website Sify on Tuesday.Instead, that preposterous title actually did get published atop an article of equally absurd and hypocritical content (emphasis added):

NYT Disgracefully Advances Global Warming Alarmism in an Obituary
February 12th, 2008 8:28 PM
In today's cynical world, is nothing sacred? Is nothing deserving of respect or dignity? Even death? Apparently not at the New York Times, which actually took the occasion of the demise of a highly-regarded American scientist to advance global warming alarmism. Sadly, I kid you not. As reported Tuesday:

Reporting what global warming skeptics have been saying for years, several media outlets on Friday acknowledged that biofuel production could do more harm than good when it comes to fighting "global warming."Two new scientific studies suggest clearing land to produce biofuel ingredients will contribute more to warming than sticking with fossil fuels because of the removal of carbon-consuming…
ABC: Global Warming to Force Humans to Flee Destroyed Earth
February 8th, 2008 1:05 PM
"Good Morning America" weatherman and resident environmental alarmist Sam Champion wondered on Friday if global warming could cause "the ultimate climate disaster" and force humanity to abandon Earth and live in space. ChiTrib Blogger: Should Catholics Go Vegetarian on Fridays
February 7th, 2008 10:42 AM
Yesterday my colleague Noel Sheppard noted that some Anglican bishops are urging their flocks to go "carbon" free during Lent. Along the same eco-insanity line, Chicago Tribune's religion blogger Manya Brachear submitted a post on Tuesday wondering if there's a "moral obligation" that Catholic priests have to urge their parishioners to go "fishless" or vegetarian on Fridays given concerns about…

Should it be against the law to disagree with an as yet unproven scientific theory?A Canadian scientist and high-profile television personality thinks so, and has called for the jailing of political leaders that ignore the junk science behind the anthropogenic global warming myth.It appears the witch hunt has moved from calling non-believers "deniers" to the burning phase, which is comically…

February 5th, 2008 3:54 PM
Standing outside "Good Morning America's" New York studio on Tuesday, Democratic supporters waved signs backing Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and, fittingly, weatherman Sam Champion. GMA viewers have long known that the ABC forecaster is an avid promoter of left-wing environmental causes, but to celebrate "National Weatherman's Day," Champion got a boost from fans of two other liberals. Taking a…

'Today' Anchor Vieira Loses Not-So-Eco-Friendly Super Bowl Bet
February 4th, 2008 5:27 PM
Maybe they should have added a few carbon credits to this Super Bowl bet. NBC's "Today" co-anchor Meredith Vieira lost a bet to fellow co-anchor Matt Lauer for the New York Giants 17-14 win over the New England Patriots. But it wasn't exactly a carbon-neutral endeavor. "[Y]ou know, let's check the traffic chopper, chopper four for Meredith - to see how traffic is over the West Side [of New…
