In what is a recurring theme, Univision once again saves its most insanely biased analyses for its digital platform. This time the network comically welcomes Mike Pence to the Republican ticket, confirming every Establishment Media stereotype in the process.

As we have noted previously, the wildest instances of bias by Univision News are now reflected on the network's digital platform. The latest instance comes via its coverage of the Republican National Convention's platform plank on the issue most essential to Univision's long-term survival: immigration.

When Univision announced its acquisition of the satirical fake-news purveyor the Onion as part of its digital shopping spree back in January, we expressed these concerns, which were confirmed by one particularly awful piece that ran last week.

Univision's news brand pretty much centers around the stridency of its immigration coverage these days. However, it is fascinating to watch the network try to hide its biases on other major issues, as evidenced by coverage of the Supreme Court's ruling in the Texas abortion case.

Univision/Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos has seen fit to grace us with his latest hot take. In the process, he finds a way to tie that into the politics surrounding the current presidential election, blaming a very familiar culprit.

Univision's fawning coverage of the Supreme court's ruling in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt shows the extent to which the network is both out of touch with its viewership and biased towards a progressive agenda.

DAPAgeddon arrived last Thursday, in the form of the Supreme Court's ruling against the Obama Administration's executive amnesties, and news coverage was as awful as one would expect. The time has now come for our domestic Spanish-language media to reflect on its role in the toxic political environment surrounding immigration policy and the coverage it receives therein.   

It has often been said that politics is downstream from culture. But when it comes to Spanish-language media, politics and culture are virtually joined at the hip, as evidenced by recent coverage of an anti-Trump tweetstorm from Mexican actress Kate del Castillo.

The American media cabal is…ridiculous.  They are the Borg of politics - many entities, but of but one Leftist mind. Led around by their noses by whatever hack government-growing politician is before them at that moment. Just as they calmly repeated the "ventriloquized" Obama line on the Iran deal, so they're doing with the latest ruling on "Net neutrality."

Disney’s CEO apparently doesn’t sing “Hakuna Matata” when reviewing his company’s taxes. The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger slammed the U.S. tax system as “ridiculously complex,” and said the country’s high corporate rate was “anti-competitive.”

For a liberal media that bemoans the idea of businesses and corporations being considered “people” post-Citizens United, BuzzFeed decided that they would cancel the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) advertising for their site due to Donald Trump’s candidacy threatening “the freedoms of our employees in the United States and around the world.”  

Sometimes, you can just look at a story as it unspools and know, instinctively, that the corrupt establishment media is going to find a way to embarrass itself. Univision is no different, the latest proof of that coming via the network's brazen material misrepresentation of its former relationship with the RNC's new Director of Hispanic Media, Helen Aguirre-Ferré.

Univision's uniquely biased brand of "no two sides" advocacy journalism is no secret to anyone, particularly readers of this byline. Today, the network is partnering with a notorious Bloomberg-funded anti-gun group in propaganda efforts aimed at pressuring the public into creating a demand for increased curtailment of our Second Amendment rights.

Here at MRC Latino, we often find similar areas of concern when pointing out the unique biases of our domestic Spanish-language news media. However, there are times when different networks will take such varied approaches to the same story so as to compel us to take notice.
