Joining in the overwrought media reaction to the White House barring a CNN reporter from a Rose Garden event on Wednesday, on Thursday’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, Daily Beast Politics Editor Sam Stein urged the press corps to join together in a “collective pact” to “punish” the Trump administration.

Appearing on Fox Business Network’s Varney & Co. on Thursday, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell hammered CNN for abandoning any pretense of objective journalism and devoting all of its air time to attacking President Trump on issue after issue. Host Stuart Varney, a CNN alum, lamented that it was “sad to see” the cable channel had fallen so far.

For much of Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning, various CNN and MSNBC hosts and contributors were seen freaking out over Attorney General Jeff Sessions playfully laughing along with audience members as they broke into a "Lock her up" chant at a Tuesday morning speaking event.

Over an 18-hour period spanning two days, anchors on MSNBC and CNN all read from the same script as they warned viewers that President Trump’s typical criticism of the liberal media during a Tuesday address was akin to the authoritarian regime described in George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984.

During a Tuesday panel discussion on NBC’s Megyn Kelly Today about left-wing comedian Sacha Baron Cohen tricking and humiliating Republicans for his new Showtime series, NBC reporter Jacob Soboroff praised the deceptive entertainer as a “genius” who was “exposing the fault lines of our society” and “providing a service.”

On Sunday evening, the NBC Nightly News ran a full report hyping a couple of cases in which pharmacists refused to fill a prescription -- one for an abortion and one for transgender hormone treatment. Host Kate Snow and correspondent Blake McCoy ended up fretting that "social conservatives" had pushed to expand state laws that allow pharmacists to refuse certain sales for reasons of morality.

During an interview with NBC anchor Megyn Kelly, actor Dennis Quaid described feeling nervous about his recently announced role playing Ronald Reagan for an upcoming biopic about the nation’s 40th president. Quaid told Kelly that Reagan was his “favorite president” and that he felt a “huge responsibility” to get him right in the film.
